I began going to Dr Wheeler in 1996. For many years he was great both with me and my sons. In 2016 after I got a call from his office following my physical, my opinion of him crashed. Over several years my PSA score had been going up, in some years doubling. I had no idea what a PSA score was and he never discussed it with me. In 2016 it was at 7.0 up from 4.2 in the previous test. The call I received was from his receptionist, not him or his nurse. The receptionist said that the doctor wanted me to go to a urologist for further testing and he was concerned about the PSA score and thought I might have cancer. As might be expected, I was knocked off my feet by the mention of cancer as it had never been mentioned previously. The receptionist couldn't answer any questions. The next time I saw him, I asked why, considering I had been going to him for 20 years and that what he felt I might have cancer, that he wasn't the one to call me rather than his receptionist...his answer was "well I have a lot of things to deal with and if I called everyone I would be on the phone all day." That was the last time I ever saw or spoke to him.

I feel very confident about having him as my doctor, he has a very nice personality but at the same time he is very professional too, always showing great care for his patients, he was very highly recommended to me by many people who have gone to him I do believe you will not be disappointed and choosing him for your doctor.

I have been with Doctor Wheeler since he's been with DMC, and he is simply the best. He cares and wants to make sure you, as the patient, get the best possible care available. Highly recommend him to anyone who is interested

Dr Wheeler is my 93 yr.old mothers doctor. I got to meet him recently taking my mother in for a flu shot. He is the nicest, most personable Dr that I have ever met. If he was in Massachusetts he would be my doctor in a heartbeat.

Dr Wheeler is the best doctor! Sadly my family and I have a lot of medical issues and have had way too many drs and he is the best! He takes time to listen and explain. Yes it is hard to get an appointment with him but he is worth every minute you have to wait because you know he is giving his time to his patients
