She was the on call surgeon when my daughter was admitted to the hospital for her appendix. She did not feel it met the criteria to be removed do to her symptoms and referred us back to floor Dr. She also told us she was going home shortly and gave us the impression she wanted to go home and not stay to do the surgery. We ended up being transferred to Phoenix Children Hospital and my daughter had emergency appendix surgery.

I was traveling through Arizona when I was struck with horrible abdominal pain. After not finding relief on my own I found the closest hospital. I spent the rest of the evening the the ER when Dr. Bermas finally came in. She was rude and short with me from the beginning. She did not give me time to answer her questions before asking another and then told me I didn't want care because I got frustrated with her line of questioning. She made smart remarks and simply has ZERO bedside manner. She should not be allowed to treat patients the way she does, or at all, at Flagstaff Medical Center ED. Being educated does not make you a great doctor, being compassionate and understanding with your patients does.

Dr. Bermas had no concern about me or my condition. She attempted to send me back to work 2 weeks after three broken bones and a lung collapse. Her license should be revoked.
