List of Mark A. Berman's Reviews
I’ve been a patient here for over 15 years. Dr. Berman tells it like it is, taking time to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand without being patronizing. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile.
After two decades of seeing Dr. Berman, he dropped me as a patient for two missed appointments in one year. After having my third baby, I was suffering from severe postpartum depression and anxiety. Having never had this with my first two and even being in the healthcare field myself working with pregnant mamas and postpartum mamas, I couldn’t fully recognize the things in me that I help other mothers with daily. Now that I’m finally functioning and able to get out of bed and be a functional member of society again, I just want to steer women who may be postpartum away from Dr. Berman. His own receptionist was incredibly surprised and double checked with him to see if he knew who he was dropping. It’s mind boggling to me that a man who pulled me into his private office for an extended visit just a couple months before because of the great concern in my mental health, would feel comfortable dropping a patient who was very clearly struggling. Heartbreaking, really.
Dr Berman is great with the kids. He engages with them really well and helps you understand exactly what is going on.
Dr. Berman has been my primary physician for more than a decade, and I can't imagine a doctor more suited to my needs and expectations than him. His examinations are thorough; he gives me his fullest attention; I never, ever feel rushed away from his precious office time; and he is as warm and caring a physician as anyone could hope to have. Here's a doctor who actively cares about what I do when I'm not in his office. And he has a fine sense of humor! Dr. Berman: The Best of the Best!
I was a patient of Dr Berman for 10 plus years. My wife and two children were patients there as well. My wife always felt as though he wasn't a very good doctor. I had backed him up and given the benefit of the doubt for years because he was my doctor from when I was a kid. However over the years I noticed more and more, just how unprofessional he is. He is always in a rush, and makes you feel like just a number. As I mentioned, I was a patient of his for over 10 years and he never knew anything about me when ever I would visit. He rushes out of the room and finishes conversations with you while he is halfway out of the room, standing in the door way. He will not listen to more than one problem in a visit. If you are there for one thing, but just mention concern about something else, he will actually stop you, and say that you need to set up a separate appointment for that. He will not talk to you over the phone ever ( his office staff say that is against his policy). He suggested that I get a certain operation for a hernia years ago. I recently went in for an appointment, and told him I was having trouble with it. He asked where the operation was and when I had it done. I was shocked that he wasn't aware of this. Then he went on to say that this procedure is very bad in his opinion and he thinks that they are very troublesome. Nice to know. Would have been much nicer to know before I got it from his recommendation to boot! Long and short is if you are looking for a good family doctor that will treat you and your kids well, and develop a relationship with over years of seeing him, Dr Berman is not your man!
my father is 96 years young. he had a 6 month FU appointment, and I had taken my father there for his appointment. Dr Berman came in and did the FU. He sat with my dad and talked for awhile. I was impressed by the amount of time he spent with us. He talk at length to my dad about his wishes at the end of his days. I felt at ease with Dr Berman at his side. We never felt rushed. I know Dr's these days have many patients. But that day, we felt we were his only patient. Thank you Dr Berman, what a great feeling.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
