If I could give NO STARS I would! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS INCOMPETENT OFFICE. Office staff did NOT get my medication list entered correctly, or something… 🙄 I was at the hospital for my epidural which was scheduled two weeks prior, IV in my arm, after doing everything to get ready from the night before, I was told I could NOT get my epidural because they didn’t have my blood thinner in my medicine list!!! I DISCUSSED IT WITH THE DOCTOR IN MY APPOINTMENT!!! How could it have just disappeared from my medicine list?? VERY unprofessional staff. This was NOT the only problem having to do with staff issues. This was the LAST problem I’ll have with them. I’m all set.
Have been seeing "Dr. J" for over 20 years (at his 3 different growing facilities). Although things have changed in going from his small "family-like" practice to the WDH/MG/Brighams etc. etc conglomerate, he is still the best, most understanding, AND down-to-earth physician I have seen in 30 years of dealing with chronic pain.
I spent the best part of 2 years under Dr. Jorgensen's 'care;' I've seldom felt more ill-served. He kept pushing injection therapies. I'd have to have a 'trial,' wait 3 - 4 wks, then have another trial, then a 3rd, finally a grand finale. After each session, I was asked if I'd noticed any improvement. Maybe. Well, we'll do something else - after waiting 90 or so days. That 'something else' being a similar extended series of trials followed by yet another 'big deal' w/o lasting effect. There were at least 4 such series, perhaps 5. Then they graciously gave me the same script I'd used for yrs (w/ increasingly less relief) while requiring I provide unannounced pill counts, etc. I know NH & the DEA have, with good reason, become fixated on prescription opioids, but the doses prescribed weren't addictive & I had an unblemished record. Bottom line, I feel they used me as a profit center without any real interest in my needs. I've made my dissatisfaction clear to my PCP who referred me.
This doctor prejudged me before he came into the exam room, over an hour late. I was very disappointed and hurt that this man wasn't even listening to anything I said. He really made me feel horribly down and hopeless. I got up and left the room without finishing the ridiculous b.s. going on. I left crying, which should never happen with an appointment like this.
If you like voicemail instead of a person, and going into office every 2 months to see a WHOLE new staff from a month ago, hassles about refills, Dr. Jorgensen not being straightforward or honest, and dealing with what they call patient service...which is a call center in Grand Raipids Michigan....if these sound appealing you will be at home here. If not, please please dont’ do what my family member did and believe anything that comes out of his mouth and you are treated like a number and money for them and that’s it. PLease don’t go through this and don’t let a member of your family go though this.
I saw Dr. Jorgensen after injuring my back, when I needed epidural injections. He was knowledgeable and kind. He made me feel like I was in good hands and his treatment really helped. I referred my SIL to him also, and she has nothing but good things to say about him. If ever I need the services of a skilled anesthesiologist again I will be calling Dr. Jorgensen.
Dr. Jorgensen might be competent but is the most arrogant condescending human being I have ever met. If possible, I would avoid at all costs. Try to find a Dr. that is empathetic to your condition.
I saw Dr. Jorgensen first in 1998. I was a young man in his 20's with a horrible chronic pain in my dominant hand and wrist. Pain care itself was in its infancy. He was not scared to treat with pain medications BUT... 8 yrs. later I hurt my leg and sustained nerve damage in my leg and foot after basically getting to stage of near full recovery with my hand. I had no seen him in 5 yrs. Well he insisted on treating things this time strictly as a post op situation when it actually would go on to become a 2 year ordeal. He insisted on not using opiate medicines this time. Well, all medicines we did try failed to help and I was forced to leave his practice to find a doctor brave enough to prescribe. I'd been a model patient with him too. My feeling is he has become hesitant and/or scarred to prescribe what might be necessary. Unfortunate result of bad patients perhaps. No longer a place for Pain Med Managment. Procedures and injections only.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
