Dr. Michael E. Ritondo is an obygyn listed on a prochoice list for women after RoevWade was overturned as a doctor who would offer tubal ligations/procedures to women without the traditional misogyny women faced like "you're too young/you may change your mind later." I want to let women know that this doctor is in FACT a misogynist. He inserts IUDs with NO pain/anesthesia for women which we know is BARBARIC. I saw him for over a decade at his Claremont NH practice. He reffered to postpartum women as "obese". I asked him at 26 for a tubal ligation as I only wanted and had one child and he refused as I "only had one/was still fertile/may change my mind." You know....us "women folk"...so..."emotional"...and mind changers. Needless to say I never changed my mind. He instead kept me on various forms of awful birth control because I had horrible painful periods. At the ripe "infertile/old" age of rougly 36ish he deemed me no longer worthy of bearing children and decided to end my miserable period pain and offered me a lifeline procedure called Nova sure. It is not recommended to get pregnant after Novasure so he GENEROUSLY offered to tie my tubes to prevent pregnancy. Notate I had been asking every few years for a decade, been denied by him. Never had another child. Nor changed my mind. I find it odd he made our woman "friendly" list. Be advised. He is a misogynist. Stay away. I never went to see him again. In fact he abandoned his whole practice in our underserved community to go where he could "deliver more babies." Not a stand up man. Beware.

This was the person who delivered two of my three babies and he not only is caring but takes the time to talk to you like you are a human being and speaks of diagnosis at your level! Very easy to get along with and would highly recommend him to anyone for OBGYN services!
