She was my obgyne and I was complaining about my right abdomen always painful and she kept telling me constipation or ligaments stretching but I knew there's something wrong with me.Hard to reach in times of emergency as she was always on leave and I was brought to ER every two days but her office didnt even reach out to me as well as her never heard of her checking on me when I was on the hospital as one day that cyst they told me not to worry become so huge and I am on risk of losing my baby. I had procedure and haven'y head dchecking on me different doctors in the hospital were the one taking care of me. Until I accidentally gave birth she never reach out on me or haven't heard from her again.I will never recommend her.

If only I could write my entire experience with this person but I'll keep it short. First let me say the staff was very nice... but Ms. Lanter was atrocious. She was rude, passive aggressive, and physically hurt me during my exam although she said that was my fault because my "cervix was to big" and because I "pulled away " therefore causing my own pain. On top of that, she argued with me about what kind of IUD I had only to realize I was right after removing it. While she was removing it, it was painful and I asked her to stop, she did... but DID NOT put the replacement in! I was completely shocked... speechless actually when her response to my question about why she didn't, she said " you said stop, I'm not playing that". And I'm pretty sure she asked the assistant to add a gonerea test with my pap because my partner is a musician. She needs to go back to college for patient care classes because she is terrible. I sincerely hope nobody else is hurt by this "doctor".

I love this dr! I had a wonderful experience with her before during and after pregnancy. She listened to my concerns and always had a caring demeanor with me.

I'd give her zero stars if I could. She has no bed side manners what so ever. I came to her office for a medical issue that I was having. Worst experience ever! Wish I would of yelped her before making an appointment with her.

After reading the other reviews, I was compelled to submit mine. I have to wonder what the other side of the story is with these patients. I even wonder if they reviewed the correct doctor. I have been a patient of Doctor Lanter's for decades and I can tell you that she is an angel.She is gently, thorough, sympathetic, and takes as much time as needed with me. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a competent and excellent gynecologist.

I wish I would have looked at reviews before seeing this b-itch! She was the worst she didn't even know how to use the ultrasound machine!I don't know how she is a dr. She doesn't know how to do anything! She was super rude and made u feel like why are u having a kid! Save ur time and see someone else I wish I would have read these reviews before I went! The office staff is touch and go. My very first experiences with them was very poor and they were rude. The last time I went into the office, they seemed much nicer. Dr. Lanter on the other hand, I had a poor experience with, both times. The first visit she did my annual exam and I requested a consult about birth control (I was looking to regulate my cycles). I had to ask her to come back in room because I wanted to discuss birth control options, She seemed very inconvenienced, asked me what I wanted and said "sure, ok" offering no insight or advice what-so-ever. A month later I went into my pharmacy to get my birth control and they told me they had never received orders for it. So I called Dr. Lanter's Office to ask and they said they had never sent it over. So I had to wait a couple days for all of that to happen. I had horrible side effects from the birth control she prescribed. So I made a second appointment to see or find out if there was another one I might be able to take. Upon arriving at her office, the staff was much more friendly and pleasant, Dr. Lanter was not. I told her about my suspicions of PCOS and how I had my GP run tests and he couldn't find anything wrong. I told her about my issues and side effects on the birth control she prescribed me. She then proceeded to tell me that I had to wait out the side effects for 3 or 6 months, so that my body could regulate to the birth control. She also didn't seem phased by my cycle issues, bleeding problems or offer to run tests for any abnormalities I might have. She simply told me I would need to stay on that pill and tough it out. I found a new OB who thought the whole thing was absurd and ran the tests and I now have my answers. The level of lack in compassion for the patient, her condescending tone and attitude I received from her and the answer of "waiting the symptoms out" is exactly why I would never go back to Dr. Lanter OR recommend her to anyone. Additionally, the waiting time when you do show up can be very long. I made an appointment for my first visit, I called to say I would be 5 minutes late, because my daughter had an unexpected issue at school, I had to take care of and they made me reschedule for 3 weeks later. When I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment time, I waited an extra 30+ minutes in the waiting room before I got to my exam room and then another 20+ minutes till Dr. Lanter came in. So if you are pressed for time, like I am, appointment times don't mean much and you will be spending time waiting. I would suggest an extra 30 minutes before you expect your appointment time to be.

This was the worst dr iv ever been to, she got angry because Im knowledgeable about a disease I have (endometriosis) than she seems to be, i have been diagnosed and she did not like that I said doing an ultrasound (as she suggested) won't show anything the only way to treat it and diagnosis it is by laparoscopic surgery, and iv had that and been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. Also, this woman delivered my child in an emergency c-section (she was not my reg dr) and she said during the surgery she could see that its growning back already if you know anything about endometriosis.. thats not a good thing. So when i had the nerve to as nicely as possible contradict what she was telling me, she said well maybe I should see another dr... gladly. This woman has NO BiZ in medicine.... and i can see from her other reviews others feel the same way. (honestly her staff was fine, but I could not give this dr Patricia Lanter was the worst dr iv ever seen, and iv had to unfortunately see a lot of drs.) The worst worst worst - find anyone else!!!

I saw Dr. Lanter in the ER at Dartmouth. At that time I was having intolerable pain. She was cold, and was very upset with me when I did not answer one of her questions correctly. I had taken Percosett and it caused confusion and short term memory. As my husband said anyone could tell I was struggling not to mention suffering from pain caused by a nerve which extends from my groin to my knee. Her judgment in what to do with me was very poor and because of it I spent three weeks in bed until I heard from the Pain Clinic. I went without pain medication 91 hours until the effects of confusion and short term memory disappeared. I have worked in the medical field for 20 years and I must say this has been the worse experience I have had to endure.
