Alan E. Garstka's Online Review Report Card

Dr Garstka been following me for many years. I have an issue that is not easily remedied. Yet Dr Garstka has spent much time trying to keep me on an even keel. We have forged a bond over a difficult problem. When I have appointments with colleagues he refers me to they always make a point of saying they hold him in high regard. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. He is caring, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Doctor Garstka is rude and I do not trust his opinion. The staff seems to be short with people and they all seem as if they are only at the location for a paycheck. Also I have never been to a doctors office that had to tell you not to bring a gun in to the facility. That sign is very telling and terrifying. After my heart attack they did not follow up with me. Over the years they have not kept up with my medical care. I just stopped going and seeking the help of my primary care doctor.

I felt I should have left this so called cardiology specialist a few years ago but didnt. He does NOT do his due diligence as a cardiologist to help you. I had to have open heart surgery due to his not flowing thru or reading my records and having the expertise to advice any other special testing that I would have qualifiedfor. There is a reason he ratings are only 3 star. Stay far away from him. He doesnt care about his patients.

Dr Garstka is both patient and knowledgeable. He takes time to verify that you and your family understand all the variables. He is never annoyed about repeating his explanation. I feel comfortable asking any kind of question.

9 years ago I had heart failure and was not expected to survive. I consider myself lucky that Dr. Garstka was on call that day

I cannot give enough praise to the way Dr Garstka handled our family and my mother when she was very seriously ill. He did an excellent job of helping our decision making process. His knowledge outside his area of expertise was impressive.
