Daiying Lu's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Daiying Lu, MD told me that my stomach wall is to thin and I need hernia mesh with no hernia because I visited 4 doktors previously since then I am in so much pain I can't dive sit or exercise I am in excruciating pain dr Lu said it has nothing to do with mesh 5 years i am trying to fix this ... please people be careful don't believe everything i am taking this thing out by real doctor

Dr Lu did umbilical hernia mesh implant on me and since than I am avoided .I am in excruciating pain I didn't have hernia hi told me that I needed because "my stomach wall is thin" please guys don't trust this doctor avoid umbilical mesh resource it before u end up like me I am going to Europe to take this thing out finally

My appendix ruptured 01/21. It was so infected they were not able to remove it. Life happened and I did not have the surgery. My new PCP thought it best to have a consult to make sure all is OK. I can be pretty cynical when it comes to certain situations. In my experience there's been people and animals having procedures that are not truly needed.. But makes people a lot of money. Dr. Lu was the complete opposite. He listened to my explanation, concerns, explained the procedure. He said there was no need for a CT scan. And In his opinion, my appendix is just fine where it is! Thank you for your honesty!

This would be a one star review, but I am respecting his exceptional capability as a surgeon. I do not, however, respect his ability to write prescriptions/listen to his patients. I underwent a surgery and specifically indicated that one pain medication in particular DID NOT WORK for me to ease pain as it had been tried in the past without any relief. He then went on to refer to the SAME MEDICATION THAT I SAID DID NOT WORK under a different brand name and prescribed it to me anyway, resulting in me being rushed to the ER by ambulance to fix his arrogant mistake. Shameful, and absolutely unethical. Still debating on a lawsuit honestly.

My mom was under his care for surgery on 8-1-12. Unfortunately during surgery for a colon blockage for what was the thought at the time. Dr Lu had great bedside manner . Cancer was found throughout her she was sent to Boston the next day. Dr Lu was kind and compassionate.. MGH was great to her and we thank Dr Lu for his kindness and professionalism.. Sorry to say Mom lasted only to 10-11-12.. It was too far along

Had Gall Bladder surgery and I was very pleased with how it went, the care I received and his bed side manner. An excellent surgeon, listens to his patient and explains everything so that you understand and I was very impressed. I did not feel rushed during my appointments and I would definitely refer my friends to him and not that I want to but should I need his services again I will be knocking at his door!
