Elliot Family Medicine At Manchester's Online Review Report Card

Do not go here! I’ve used this practice for a few years to maintain my blood pressure medication. I consider myself a fairly healthy person. I moved over an hour from this practice. When my blood pressure medication prescription expired and I requested a renewal while in process of lining up a new primary physician The woman told me the doctor would require me to an office visit to receive the renewal. I said I can not take time to drive an hour to this office and I would only need the renewed prescription as I have an appointment scheduled with my new care provider. She said I should ask the new provider for a prescription over the phone. I asked why would a provider without any history with me provide one when her office that has my history won’t. I further explained that I require a d.o.t. physical annually and my blood pressure is recorded with my meds. She didn’t care. She stated the doctor would be more concerned about his license. I stated “well I hope I don’t have a heart attack before I get my prescription through another provider.” This practice holds your prescription hostage to get you in for an office visit. Crooks and unethical in my opinion. It’s blood pressure medicine in the smallest dose. Not a narcotic.

The NP, nurses and doctors are always being switched out. You get used to one then you have a new one coming into the room. If you want to speak with the doctor they use the receptionist as a messenger, and when you ask for the doctor he’s “busy with patients” but yet can communicate with them.

Being that I have a herniated disc and spinal stenosis I have a lot of issues with my back and had to schedule an appointment to see my primary care at Elliott family medicine. Unfortunately I am still unable to see my primary care being that the appointments are booking about 3 months out with isolutely ridiculous. There is no excuse to be that short staff and to make patients have to wait that long for medical care. The one thing that bothers me the most was that I was told three different times do either go to the emergency room or go to Elliot urgent Care if I couldn't wait to be seen in 3 months. I am suffering from excruciating debilitating pain because of my back and I go to the emergency room so I can seek medical care and then I am treated as if I am a junkie looking for narcotics to get high. Something needs to be done about the level of care people are claimed to be receiving when they in fact get mediocre care at best.

I highly recommend Elliot Family @Manchester for thorough high quality health care... specifically Dr. Alexander Jones. He's absolutely brilliant and very personable. I never feel rushed and I always feel heard. I'm very pleased and grateful for the care I receive at this practice.

Doctor Alexander Jones is the best doctor I have ever had. I have a very complicated case of thyroid disease I have Hashimoto and possibly Graves as well as thyroid eye disease. My endocrinologist was ordering the wrong tests for me and keeping me over medicated worsening my diseases. Continuing to decline I reached out to be seen by Dr. Jones. He took all of my concerns very seriously. He spent a long time talking with me and deciding the best steps to take to address my issues. He really took the time to be sure he’s making the best choices to help me. He truly wants to do everything to help me get better I really appreciate that. He ordered the right testing to check for hyperthyroid due to pituitary glad issues. The tests he ordered proved I’m hyperthyroid and getting worse and need to stop my hormone replacement right away. Without him I would be continuing to decline. As I would have just believe I’m ok because my endocrinologist said I’m doing fine. I can’t thank him enough. He’s a very caring very well educated doctor. I can now take the next steps to be seen in Boston by some of the best specialist and hopefully get my thyroid removed.

They swap out dr's constantly. I've had 6 different dr's in 8 years. It takes months to get to see your Dr and even when you get it you usually see an RN instead. They bounce you around over and over before they'll send you to a specialist. I had to go 8 times for my back before they finally sent me for mri which found i had 3 herniation, degeneration, a crushed nerve, and 2 fractures. Awful awful place

Literally just waited five hours for the dr. To call back and tell me to go to the ER. This place just ain’t it. I went last week and was told they can’t give me anything for my back, that today another office would handle it. Well that office said no it’s your pcps job to handle your meds. Back and forth. Dude gave me ibprophren last week for a chronic back injury. 🤣 the place is a joke

Today June 15 2020 NH PHASE 2 Covid. We can now eat in restaurants but need a mask on the exam table at a Dr. office! This practice should tell you when making an appointment that you're required to wear a mask at all times during your visit. After checking in, getting temperature taken (not told what it was) and asked if I've traveled outside of Maine, NH or VT in the last 14 days I was brought back to a room. She then asked me to keep a face mask on. I questioned why I need to wear it in the exam room (I have asthma and severe anxiety when face is covered). She said it was mandatory and would go check with Rachel (NP) to see if they would still see me. She sent Laura (office manager) in to talk about wearing the face mask in the room, said I swore at the nurse and it would be best to just go to urgent care. Extremely unprofessional. As I was leaving Dr Collins (known for 30+ years) was in the hallway and I had a brief discussion about what had just happened in his office and was there to have my ears checked. He had given me a prescription (antibiotic) in April while out of state. Ear pain is back and so am I. He could've taken me in and checked my ears. Instead, told me Rachel is still on the phone (40 minutes after 11am appointment time) and to call in if I'd like a prescription refill. I've had severe dizziness and and vertigo for 2 months, never had an ear infection and my grandfather died of brain cancer. Wow, thanks Doc.

Been at this practice for years, loved Dr. Wilson but sadly she left. The nurse practitioner misdiagnosed my allergies as conjunctivitis. Had to go back a week later as my eyes had gotten 10x worse. Dr. Chopra can’t remember anything I tell her and asks me the same question 5x. Switched to Bedford today after a visit yesterday in which I was having hot flashes, hives, etc. on top of congestion was diagnosed as congestion and take some DayQuil....UGH!
