Lana Shikhman's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Shikhman was actually my second opinion after a terrible first experience at another hospital. Dr. Shikhman was so patient and kind and took the time to review my cancer and each and every option we could explore. (Our first appointment was 2+hours long) She made cancer seem manageable and spoke in terms we could understand and calmed all my fears. Her patient and kind way made me feel at ease though each and every appointment, including the day of surgery and then navigating reconstruction with her help and wonderful referrals. Dr. Shikhman is an amazing person and extremely knowledgeable, dedicated, and experienced cancer surgeon. If you are worried and feeling you don't understand your situation, she first explains why you feel the way you do, then offers great advice and all the possible options. I cannot speak more highly of her and the entire team. She made my breast cancer clear, and concise and I always felt that I was in the best of hands.

I saw Dr. Shikhman after a biopsy and was quite nervous to be seeing a breast surgeon. She made me feel incredibly comfortable and explained what was going on inside my breast and what the plan of action was and why. I left feeling a huge sense of relief and confidence that we have a plan of action that will keep me healthy. Thank you, Dr. Shikhman!

I always have a great visit with Dr. Shikhman. She informs me of all I need to know. She is a wonderful doctor. I wouldn't go to any other Doctor.

Dr.Shikhamn took care of my mom when she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time, and I was extremely satisfied with her. She was very attenuative to my mom and her feelings. My mom felt very comfortable with Dr.Shikhman, and I would recommend her to anyone.

This was the first time I had ever met her and I found her to be extremely friendly, candid and truthful. I left feeling very confident with her assessment.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago after my first mammogram at Elliot. I was originally from the Boston area and was considering going there for treatment. However after seeing Dr Shikhman and Dr Feldman I was convinced I would receive quality care at Elliot as well as personal attention I may not have received in Boston. I decided to have surgery and treatment at Elliot and have never regretted that decision. I received excellent and professional care from Dr Shikhman, Dr Feldman and the entire staff at Elliot Breast Center.

Dr. Lana Shihman did my wife surgical procedure. We are very pleased with her work and especially the time she took to explain the procedure. Kudos to Dr. Shikham and her staff.

I had two appt with Dr, in fall 2018 and early summer 2019. She had incorrect info about a serious surgical error made by Elliot Hospital plastic surgeon and the surgical team. I can only assume this Dr. Is too overbooked with patients to hsve time to read patient's full Elliot hospital record. I do not have any confidence in this physician

My experience with Dr. Shikhman was very positive! She was extremely thorough explaining the initial finding & treatment plan/follow up for my breast cancer. She was very reassuring, comforting to me at a very vulnerable time. I felt quite confident in her knowledge and expertise and would highly recommend her!

I feel so lucky to have found her at such a scary and vulnerable time. She is empathetic, knowledgeable, thorough and really listens to you. Her nurse navigator is also excellent.
