List of James Sullivan's Reviews
Dr. Sullivan takes time to listen to your concerns and explain everything he does. I always feel better after my visits. To sum up my thoughts he cares about his patients.
20+ years of chronic pain, too many doctors to count, everyone telling me there's nothing wrong on xray or MRI. 6 visits with Dr. Sullivan and I'm pain free! He always runs late but it's worth the wait because he gives you and every patient as much time as needed.
For 45 years I heard "nothing on the x-ray - you're fine". 45 minutes with Dr. Sullivan I walked nearly normal for the first time in decades. I was briefed as to why x-rays were inconclusive, why I was in pain. I was told to anticipate pain while undergoing treatment, experienced only discomfort, and post-procedure discomfort. Some Aspirin (my choice), a second session 2 weeks later, and I'm working mostly pain-free all day. A follow-up is scheduled for February 2022. I may finally be able to get the exercise required for a regimen of "diet and exercise" advised by my Primary Physician.
After 13 years, 5 neurologists, and more medications than I could count, Dr. Sullivan got rid of my daily chronic migraine! Then he continued to care for me during kidney cancer and several surgeries, helping me get back a normal range of motion after shoulder surgery. He is my hero!
Dr Sullivan was instrumental in helping me with my Lyme Disease, he took the time to listen to my issues and had a deeper understanding of what I was going through vs the others I saw. My Lyme immediately did a 180 with the treatments and I'm just sad I can't be his patient any longer as he has since switched practices. Best of the best here, he truly cares
Dr. Sullivan is a young, very ambitious doctor who seems to care more about making money than he does about his patients. In January as my new PCP, he told me to come back in 4 months to figure out what was wrong with my back. After several cancellations, and 9 months later, I received a letter in the mail telling me that he would be opening a new practice in 2 weeks, and would no longer be my PCP. How cold and insensitive is that??? I have a feeling that with private insurance I may have gotten the care I still need.
tThis was my first visit, Dr. Sullivan , was real nice and he new his stuff , gave me a great physical, and listen to everything I said to him, he even said he will get me info on a diet , that could help me with my diabetes, which could get me off the meds , if you are looking for a real nice doctor, who cares and listens, then this is the man, nice to see there are still doctors that care about the person and not just in it for money. Dr Sullivan is so nice and knowledgeable. He takes the time the explain things and listens well, answering any questions I have. He has made a significance different in my life. I see him for neuromuscular skeletal manipulations and my back pain is gone! I highly recommend!
If it were not for Dr Sullivan I can honestly tell you I still would not be walking or moving . I would not have lost 145 pounds. He literally has saved my life. I see him regularly and tomorrow is my first day at his new office. He definitely cares a lot about his patients. I travel over an hour to see him and I would travel longer. He is the first doctor I trust and feel like I am being listened to. I don't mind having to wait since I know he is helping others and listening to them as he does me and all his patients. I wish he stayed at AFP. Helen
Following a few years of suffering pain in my right hip, I was referred to Dr Sullivan following a recommendation. At each of the two initial consultations, I was asked if I was suffering unbearable pain and if I really needed a hip replacement. Following a thorough examination, Dr Sullivan agreed that a replacement

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
