After emergency hospitalization for a new condition, I was urged to affiliate with a primary care doctor within the hospital's network, and the hospital set up my appointment with Dr. Shafer. I was eager to learn more about my condition and how to live with it. Dr. Shafer deflected most of my concerns, said that I would have to take them up with a specialist (who would not be available for nearly half a year), and made my visit out to be based upon another issue entirely, which was not even addressed in this visit. I was left bewildered and disappointed. Needless to say, I found a different primary care physician after this experience.

Dr Shafer has been an excellent primary care doctor who takes her time in getting to know you and covering all of your concerns.

Dr. Shafer is a very attentive doctor. She is my children's doctor and although she is not a pediatrician she is thorough and so far has been successful in addressing any of their medical needs.

I have been to see many family practice providers. I also work in healthcare and have dealt with many providers. I found Dr. Schaeffer to be amazing. She listened, she contributed and is so very willing to work with you regarding your medical problems. She has a kind friendly manner and just hits all the areas that I was slooking for in a family medicin provider. I cannot give her enough acolades but she is fantastic.
