List of Arthur Lauretano's Reviews
Dr. Lauretano and his staff are very good at making patients feel at home and paying attention to detail. This has been my ENT office for years. He's conducted difficult surgeries both for myself as well as my daughter and no complications from either. The office environment is peaceful. He puts patients at ease prior to procedures. I'd give him a straight 10 if that were an option.
Very disappointed in this office and Doctor. My husband and I did a lot of research to find a good doctor to perform "Lingual Tonsil" surgery as my lingual tonsils had been very swollen and bothersome, as well as suspicion of cancer. We met with Dr. Lauretano and were pleased to get into surgery pretty quickly, and with listening to him regarding recuperation, etc...I had problems with the billing woman in this office being very rude and unprofessional, and telling me to call insurance to get verification, however, this is usually done by the physician office. I did all the phone calls to get approval and such. I received a call from this office with a date and time to get a COVID test before my surgery. Following the test, I received a $250.00 bill for the rest. It took months to straighten this out, and the hospital stating they never received my insurance information from Dr. Lauretano's office. Definitely a problem within the billing office and approvals and verification. However, the real issues started following surgery. I received the wrong medications and could not get through the emergency number lines, and had to recover from this surgery with NO PAIN MEDS. It was excruciating pain, and my husband and I were beside ourselves why we could not get the medication situation straight or phone calls back from on call physicians. I asked to speak with Dr. Lauretano, however, he never called me back. I lost my voice, and had the worst pain I have ever had following surgery. On follow up, I was in too much pain to have a scope done in office so he never checked inside my throat to see if everything was ok. I was having a hard time with swallowing, lost my taste, and I feel like I have a jagged back edge of my throat and a piece of flesh hanging behind my tongue. I finally scheduled an appointment to meet with Dr. Lauretano almost 5 months following surgery in order to give myself time to heal feeling I just needed time. I was absolutely appalled at his demeanor and attitude and combative nature while I was in his office. He just kept saying "I don't k now", "I don't know" when I was pleading for help with the fact If feel a jagged back throat and actually gag due to some type of hanging piece of flesh or something back in my throat. He just kept putting me off, offered to send me to a "buddy of his at Tufts", and just "I don't know", and that patients don't have these problems, etc...I was disgusted with the fact he was brushing me off. I did plead with him "please don't brush me off because I am having a real and terrible problem with this". At no time did he seem empathetic or compassionate, but rather anxious and almost manic as I sat there. I am having serious issues at this point. I feel a gapping hole and suck in air oddly, have very little to no taste any longer, and I love to cook so this is awful for myself and my family. I could not believe how he shoved me off and offered no help other than a "swallow" test. He put a scope down my throat with no anesthetic as he had done before to look at things, but it was quick and he said he saw nothing. I asked why he did not use the machine to ensure a sanitary environment or anesthetic, and he stated "they just don't want us using the anesthetic spray due to COVID concerns". I just don't understand why he took no interest in my concerns, offered no real help, but wanted to send me to another ENT. He was the ENT who performed the surgery so certainly thought he would help with the issues I am having. I will now have to find a new ENT to help me with this. I am choking on food and cannot drink correctly as well, and my voice has changed with a feeling of air being sucked in. I have had other surgeries, and consider myself a strong woman so to have this much change and being this uncomfortable does not seem normal at all. I write this review as our experience here, and hope others do not have to go through the lack of care following surgery as we d
He has been so helpful with diagnosis and treatment as well as explaining options.
I was very pleased with how Dr. Lauretano took his time to discuss my issues, as well as, my family history. He didn't rush at all, I felt I could ask questions and get thorough and understanding answers back. My ears and hearing are very important as I get older and having a trusting ENT are reassuring for me.
Dr Lauranto in my opinion is one of the best ENT doctors in the area. His knowledge in the field surpasses no one.
I have known and seen Dr. Lauretano for 20+ years. He is an extraordinary ENT with a wonderful personality. I have recommended countless friends and family to utilize his services.
Spends a lot of time with his patients. Listened to me without interrupting. Called me with results promptly.
While there was no follow up I was most impressed with dr. Laurentano.
He was very put out and defensive when I told him that i was not happy about waiting for more tha n an hour. First it was that he had surgery. I asked if this put him behind by 5 patients (the number he saw while i waited) why didn't he have his staff inform those of us the reasons for being behind and give us the option of waiting or rescheduling. He defended with 'this is medical everyone waits over an hour' I told im that this is not acceptable and that out time is valuable as well and that Doctors need to stop overbooking and start being considerate of their patients time. he said that i should book with someone else. i told him that he should learn to take constructive crticism and thanked him for wasting my time.
I've seen Dr. Lauretano several times over the years for both for office visits and sinus surgeries and procedures. I can say with 100% confidence he is one of the best ENT doctors I've ever worked with. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients, this is what drives him and it's very evident in how he works with his patients.I'm happy to be a patient of his and I highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
