I reported her to NH board for patient violations
On June 15th, 2021 I was scheduled for a mammogram/ultrasound. My mammogram went very well, my ultrasound not the case. I currently have reported Dr Oner to NH licensing board for a traumatic incident that took place on this day.
I wish to bring to your knowledge an incident that took place at your hospital (SNHMC) on 6/15/2021. I am a patient of Nicolette McDonnell, APRN. I am in hospital every 6 months for preventative breast cancer care. On June 15th, 2021 I was scheduled for a mammogram/ultrasound. My mammogram went very well, my ultrasound not the case. After the ultrasound tech finished taking her views, she informed me the doctor was coming in to do an additional ultrasound and I would know by the end what the status was. The doctor came in and introduced herself, Dr Oner, then began to start scanning my R breast. She commented several times on how thin I was and it was like looking at skin thru to bone? That is when I started to notice a shift in her demeanor. She then went on to say I needed to not miss anymore mammograms? This came as a surprise to me as I was not aware of this. I then remembered a scheduling mix up due to another test ordered in radiology from a different specialist in Boston. She completely ignored my explanation and repeated again that I missed my appointment. I then checked my phone, confirmed all the telephone correspondence on my cell phone, then said I will follow up with my regular doctor. It was back and forth for a bit then she left the exam room saying she was checking something? She rushed back in, closing the door behind her and said I was due in December. I commented that was an extremely busy time for my family as not only am I a single mother of twins on disability (since 2008) trying to get thru the holiday season during a pandemic, but my father was in and out of this very hospital dying of stage IV colon cancer that he succumbed to in January. After I was done explaining something that I should not have had to in the first place I proceeded to leave. This is when she placed her hand on the door and told me it was her job to educate me on the reasoning behind imaging? I asked to leave more than 3 times and she did not move. “Open the door please.” I looked over at the ultrasound tech who appeared to be on the verge of tears and asked whats going on here? No answer. So I had to stand there. I stared at the ceiling and waited until there was silence. The entire time I wanted to grab the phone in the exam room, but she was blocking that too. My cell does not work in the basement, maybe for 911 it would? That is where my head was at. I again said I would follow up with my regular doctor once she stopped talking. She finally opened the door and said, “You know I get nothing out of being mean to you, just so you know. I know you think I am being mean but why would I do that? I get nothing out of it?”. Which I thought was interesting as I never once called her anything? So she is absolutely aware of her personality disorder. I have been a patient with chronic illness diagnosed back in 1999. I have lived in Boston and still have providers there. I am well aware of certain cultural differences in communication. This was not one of them. This was a blatant disrespectful ego driven power trip. I am a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200) as well as a certified childrens yoga teacher (RCYT) with a trauma informed focus so I have the tools to know how to respond, not react to a situation like this. I know there have to have been patients prior to me who unfortunately were not. Those patients now have a traumatic experience attached to their breast exam which I think would be the exact opposite of patient education? I reported it to the nurse stationed at the front desk right after walking out, before even changing. I spoke with Danielle and submitted a complaint in the “Feedback” department for the hospital (SNHMC) and Foundation Medical Partners. I have spoken with Nicolette McDonnell and notified her and the rest of the staff I had interaction with on this day that I would be writing a formal letter. At this time I am waiting for an appointment with my attorney as to what my rights are, and further questions I have on the matter. I have requested that Dr Oner never have any interaction with me or my medical file ever again in person, and now in writing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
