I've been see him for about 3 years, great doctor!

He was very adamant on reinforcing a confirmed misdiagnosis I had from middle school and kept pushing a prescription drug I had used previously but didn’t help. Would not listen to any input.

Was adamant on reinforcing a confirmed misdiagnosis I had from middle school. Wouldn’t listen to my experience with previous medication and was very determined on pushing Prozac on me. I had tried Prozac in the past and it didn’t help any of my issues.

One of the best doctors, and definitely the most positive experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. He’s kind, down to earth, and makes you feel heard. I had been seeing various doctors, urgent care, and specialty doctors, prior to seeing Dr. Hussain, and I felt like no one ever truly listened to me, or was interested in digging deeper. When you are dealing with an unknown medical issue, and are scared, it makes a world of difference to have a doctor who acts like he cares about you, and believes you.

When my son’s pediatrician retired, we decided to try other drs in his practice. So many were cold and it didn’t feel like they actually cared about us. I decided we should give Dartmouth a try and we’re matched with Dr. Hussein. This doctor truly cares. He is incredibly thorough and makes sure my son is healthy mind, body, and soul. With a rare genetic disorder, the recent death of his father and being 16 and all the difficulties surrounding that, Dr. Hussein goes above and beyond to ensure my child is healthy, happy, and cared for. 5 stars is not enough for this excellent doctor!

Dr. Hussain is a knowledgeable, thorough, and exceptionally competent medical professional. He is a most compassionate, attentive and caring individual. He is also my husband's primary care physician, and we both agree that he takes the time to listen to us as individuals, not "just another patient". He answers all of our questions clearly and effectively. We always look forward to his exceptional care in follow-up visits.

In my opinion Dr. Hussain has no interest in being an active and learned member of a healthcare team. In my experience he intends to be an active health dictator to his patient, without having bilateral conversations.

Great primary care physician. Listens and responds. I trust him with my complicated care, I always feel like a person, never just a patient or a disease.

I had mostly preferred women doctors in the past and requested one as a new patient at Avis Goodwin, but was introduced to Dr. Hussain for my first general checkup appointment. Dr. Hussain is not only a knowledgeable and exceptionally competent medical professional, he is without a doubt the most compassionate, attentive and caring individual I've ever had in a patient/doctor relationship. He took the time to listen to me as an individual, not "just another patient" and effectively answered all of my questions. I always looked forward to his exceptional care in follow-up visits. If it weren't for his attentive health interest and medical knowledge during my first visit, what I believed was just a pimple on my face turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, which is currently being treated by a dermatologist. I can't thank him enough for that kind of attention and care.A good doctor is hard to find, a *great* doctor seemed impossible until I met Dr. Hussain. I don't casually hand out five-star ratings, but my experience with Dr. Hussain merits it.
