Efficient kind specialists

I have see Dr. Hyett several times over the years to have hemorrhoids banded. He always takes time to listen to you and does as great job of explaining things. He's very thorough, compassionate, considerate and professional. I highly recommend him.

Whomever wrote on Nov 4 and 6 was clearly the same angry patient. This doctor has cared for me and my family for years and is one of the best on the Seacoast. Dr. Hyett is kind, and sincere. He always goes out of his way to help us. He has even called me on the weekend with a result we were nervously awaiting. Best doctor I have ever had. And I am sorry that anyone would say otherwise.

Really surprised others like this Dr. He doesn’t answer questions well, gets irritated by questions and has poor bed side manner. If you want a Dr. to talk to you and explain things this is NOT the dr to go to. The office is also really heard to reach / deal with - they tell you (you have to leave a couple messages first) you need to check the patient portal but NO results are there so you have to call back again and again. The Dr doesn’t inform you which blood tests he did and doesn’t like to be asked ... so you are really left in the dark! Dr. Hyett’s huge ego gets in the way of him listening and respecting patients - don’t see him.

Dr. Hyett was not able to handle the idea of me getting a second opinion for medication on my Crohn’s disease. He was very concerned that I had betrayed him when getting other medical advice about a serious concern that has caused me years of adverse health. Once he found out I saw another doctor he wasn’t able to move past it and talk about my health. He has a superiority complex in his head that doesn’t allow him to work holistically with patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare system.

He seemed like a good guy to work with, problem is everyone seems to think that too. Took a month to be seen, when I showed up I waited over an hour past my appointment time, and when I left the office they made it very clear that this would be a regular occurrence if I continued to see Dr. Hyett. Now I am in between appointments, and the treatment he prescribed is not working. I have called and left messages, but he is apparently so busy he cannot find the time to return my calls.

Dr Hyett is completely professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. I highly recommend him! His staff is lovely as well. 5 stars!

Nice bedside manner that I think gets by for routine GI issues but he seems less invested w/ the more complicated issues/questions. Didn't listen well or allow for conversation so appointments feel rushed. He is quick to provide suggestion/information w/ out allowing you to provide information that he needs. It felt very dismissive. I want my doctors to work w/ me as a team. I want their medical opinion and at a minimum know they have the same information I have w/ regard to treatment options both inside their field of study and outside. I was disappointed he didn't feel this was necessary.
