It was not what I expected.

Rude, arrogant and a liar. He promised to do my husband's cataract surgery for free, which turned out to be a lie! He is not very trustworthy

At the recommendation of my fine optometrist Dr. Janet Rand, I was treated on 3/5/21 by Dr. Warren Goldblatt for seriously clouded vision in both eyes 2 years after cataract removals and torex lens implants (at Mass eye and ear). It was a great experience! My exam was quick, but thorough, and then Dr. Goldblatt took me to the YAG laser and fixed the cloudiness in both eyes in about 10 minutes! My vision (immediately and now 3 days later) is great (maybe better than I have ever had). So I am a totally happy customer.

A seamless experience with cataract surgery In December 2019 by Dr. Goldblatt. His attention to detail is impeccable. I felt comfortable about the procedure and my outcomes were excellent.

Accompanied my 90 year old parent. Dr Goldblatt is a rude, arrogant, impatient, condescending person. When called on his insolent behavior, he used the excuse that he was "direct" & "from NY". I have been taking my parent to this office for five years and this is the first time seeing Goldblatt. He acts like a bully. The office culture itself is a cold factory with seemingly high turnover of staff. I will never recommend this group to anyone. If you go with your elderly loved to Eyesight, you would be wise to go into the appointment with them.

Worst experience ever!!! Rude and very arrogant! Do not recommend this person, very unprofessional.

I had shingles in my eye that caused an infected ulcer over my pupil. I had terrible pain and sight. My eye was throbbing and weeping constantly. Dr. Goldblatt killed the infection and virus with drops. He treated the cornea with steroids and saved my eye. I didn't have insurance... Dr, Goldblatt made sure I got a break on the cost. He's not only a great eye doctor, he's a great man.

Dr. G performed my cataract surgery with the “upgraded” lens after explaining all of my options - in terms of procedure, costs, expectations. He asked me lots of questions about my goals - what works for me in terms of glasses, etc. He is focused and attentive to details. He called me after my procedures. Some might call him abrupt but was I looking for an Opthamologist to be my friend? Of course not. I searched for, and found, a competent surgeon for my situation which was not a “normal” situation. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I feel that Dr Goldblatt is impatient and rude.I am very concerned about my eye issues and hope that I am getting the correct treatment.

I went to WDH emergency room on a Thursday, Thanksgiving evening 2018 with clear symptoms of a retinal hemorrhage, dark black veins, like spiderwebs covering my vision with fast continuous white flashes. Dr. Goldblatt was on call and refused to come in, after I requested through the ER physician several times to see him since I feared I was in danger of a retinal detachment. But instead I was simply repeatedly given the message for me to follow-up with my ophthalmologist, which would have been the following Monday because of the holiday. I went WDH at 7:00 pm and was given a CT Scan and lab work which I did not understand, repeating, the problem is with my eye. Of course, all tests were fine and I was discharged around midnight in fear of losing my eyesight. The next morning, I had a gel type cap outlined in black and thicker deep black veiny spider webs in my vision. Fearing for my site I went to Maine Medical Hospital, and in spite of a full ER room I was seen immediately. Two ER physicians examined me immediately then called an on-call retinal surgeon. Within 30 minutes I was in Dr. Watson's office, which was closed for the holiday, getting the eye exam of my life. She told me I had two retinal tears that were hemorrhaging and I needed emergency laser surgery stating waiting any longer would quickly lead to permanent blindness. Within minutes I was having surgery. Today I still look through a gel type cap with several floaters and intermittent flashing. The dark veins, cobwebs were from the hemorrhage that my eye did absorb. I am left to feel Dr. Goldblatt didn't want his Thanksgiving interrupted and can't imagine he did not understand the gravity of my symptoms and condition. If he did not realize it then how is he a practicing ophthalmologist? He should have at least referred me, along with the WDH ER physician, to a major hospital and retinal specialist! Maine Medical ER physicians were appalled with the total lack of treatment. I thank God for my tenacity and awareness to seek true professional help and for the caring and professionalism of Maine Medical Hospital and most of all, Dr. Jessica Watson! If I had known about this site I would have written this review months ago. It is easy to forget that physicians and hospitals are a business as well. So, buyer beware.
