I have had the good fortune to have worked with Lisabeth Wotherspoon as a colleague through professional consultation for many years. I have found her to be caring, knowledgeable, and conscientious about providing the best services to the clients that she works with. She can be flexible in her approach to working with people, tailoring her work to best meet client needs. She makes herself available to respond to clients when additional support is needed and makes it a point to stay current on current clinical information to better serve the clients that she sees.
I am so grateful for the professional guidance I have received. I am now able to manage my life's challenges.
I have known Lisabeth for over 20 years and in several professional contexts. She has always been compassionate, professional and sincerely interested in her clients. I have gone to her many times for consultation and she has always been mindful in how she responds and helping me explore what I need rather than telling me what she thinks I need.
I have been a professional colleague of Lisabeth’s for over twenty years, and believe her to be a conscientious and compassionate therapist. She continually works to keep expanding her knowledge base and skill, in order to serve a wide range of Clients’ growing needs.Throughout my years of practice I have referred potential Clients to Lisabeth with full confidence, knowing they will be treated with integrity and the highest standard of professional care.Holly Zirkle, LICSW
Lisabeth is one of the most compassionate and thoughtful people I know. As a friend she is so supportive and always asks the right questions to facilitate working through an issue or challenge. She is gentle yet clear and has always been incredibly helpful.
I saw her a little over three years ago for depression and suicidal ideation. When I arrived for my third appointment, she told me I was fine and wasting her time and that I had to leave. Don’t worry though, she didn’t charge me the copay for that appointment. Not only was this detrimental for my “faked” mental illness, which escalated when I tried to take my life 2 months later, but it continues to be as I cannot trust therapists after this. 0/10 would not recommend this horribly unprofessional and uncaring woman
Knowing how hard it is to find the right therapist - I just wanted to put out there that Lisabeth Wotherspoon is not only compassionate in her approach to therapy but she also provides my teenage son a safe environment to express himself as well as giving him the tools and practice exercises that truly help him on a day to day basis. I know he’s in safe hands and I can’t thank her enough for the help she has provided him and I seriously don’t know where we’d be without her help.
I was looking for a therapist for my teenage son but did not live in the area anymore. Prior to moving, however, Lisabeth Wotherspoon had been referred to us by a school counselor. I knew no one in our new location so I called her up asking how to go about finding the right therapist for my son. She promptly called me back the same day and even though I was not going to be a client of hers, because we had moved so far away, she took the time to answer all my questions about how to find a good therapist. She was warm and compassionate and gave me the right questions to ask each therapist. She was willing to talk with me at length without rushing me and gave me pointers on how to be involved with my sons' care without violating his privacy. She even let me know that she would be happy to talk again if ever I needed to ask another question or two. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lisabeth Wotherspoon and forever grateful!
Very understanding and listens to what is said and will even provide good ideas to help better each patient with individual needs.
