List of William Edward Maher's Reviews
He’s extremely unprofessional and rude. He wouldn’t listen to any of my symptoms or concerns. I’ve been having Extreme GI symptoms for 2 years, now 3… he started off with a colonoscopy, when I was insistent on an endoscopy due to SIBO like symptoms. He wouldn’t give me a breath test for at least 4 months after seeing him for the initial consult. He did give me an endoscopy but didn’t perform the small bowel aspirate that I requested, to test for Candida and bacteria. This all happened last year so I can’t remember all specifics. I wasn’t going to post a review, but then my husband went to Atlantic digestive and also had him. He gave him some advice that I don’t feel comfortable writing online, just completely rude and unprofessional.
Very bad customer service , I called & leave voice mail more then 10 times they never call back me. Junk customer service.
My husband had a colonoscopy with Dr. Maher and it went well. While preparing, my husband accidentally doubled the water in his prep mix, and because he was well-hydrated in general, he was able to consume all of the extra water alright. He recovered without any problems. The office and assistants were gracious and patient with my questions when I called. Would it be helpful for others to boost their intake of water in preparation for procedure, starting a few days beforehand? Also, should the dosages of OTC prep products and quantities of water be adjusted in categories of male/female, age, weight? I wonder if that might better customize the care for each patient. Thank you.
Dr. Maher is great. Very knowledgeable and efficient. At first he may seem like he’s dismissive or in a rush, but when it comes down to it he listens and cares a great amount. I would go back to him without question.
say the dr for 15 minutes - pre screening for colonoscopy - charged over $500 - equates to $2000 per hour -
Completely unprofessional, rude, and just plan doesn't care when someone has a chronic condition. He spent a grand total of 2 minutes with me and then ended his shift. He never asked me any questions, he actually pulled my hair twice (without asking), he did this because part of my condition has caused hair lose and he didn't believe that it was happening so he just took it upon himself to check. I will never recommend him to anyone and he seriously needs to address his bedside manor and check his ego at the door.
Have been suffering with chronic abdominal issues for 2 months. Dr. Maher made listened to me and showed compassion. He scheduled several test within a week time frame. I would recommend him.
Dr Maher has been nothing but kind ans compassionate to me. Not only does he listen to my problems bit he also takes the time to get to know me as amd person and my family. Yes I may have to wait at times but that is because he is spending time caring for others!
Avoid at all costs. After an endoscopy and esophageal dilation that he did, I regurgitate after every meal, when I bend over, whenever I burp, cannot lie on my left side at night without burning pain, air escapes esophagus upon exertion. Avoid this man.
I have been coming to this doctor/ office 4 over TWENTY YEARS. It wasn't bad enough that my last colonoscopy, When I encountered trouble with the prep, leaving me with 2 much medicine NOT NEAR ENOUGH FLUIDS, I was severely dehydrated and Surely close to shock. The office and hospital knew ahead of time that I may encounter an emergency, & not ONE PERSON followed through. This week, I waited over an HOUR! ....With fractured rib & was NEVER SEEN. OFFICE RUNNING 90MIN. BEHIND!! Shameful!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
