Online Reviews Breakdown
List of Bruce Abramowitz's Reviews
After years of having the same doctor, I moved to New Hampshire and had to find a new one. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Abramowitz in my search. I never wait very long, if I even have to wait at all. He is attentive, REMEMBERS my history and always thorough with his exams.
I also noticed the bad review that had been wrongly associated with Dr. Abramowitz. He is attentive and thoughtful and he genuinely seems to care about my health and general concerns. He is certainly one of the better PCPs I have had.
I'm hoping to offset the previous bad review attached to the providers name when it was the receptionist who was actually at fault. Although there IS one receptionist at Elliot Primary Care (Windham) who should be working with rocks instead of patients, Dr. Ambramowitz is a kind and attentive provider. It is rare to find one that will actually give you the time to explain your concerns and allow you to be actively involved in your own care. I've had nothing but good experiences with the majority of the staff at Elliot Primary Care in Windham.
Whoever answers the phone at this place needs to find a new profession I’m extremely sorry if I bothered her in answering my call the sighing that went on in a 30 second period was astonishing but don’t worry I won’t be calling again I’ll be switching immediately thanks
I was overdue by a few years for a physical, and my last PCP had left the practice. Dr. Abramowitz made an incredibly inappropriate comment when I shared a difficult fact about my personal life which was directly related to the medical concerns I had. He also forgot to order half the tests I needed and didn't ask me a single question about my diet or exercise. Nor did he ask me if I had any questions. It was the most ridiculous "physical" I ever had. For the one issue I was able to raise during the all too brief time he spent with me (awful menstrual cramps), he prescribed me Lexapro, which makes menstrual cramps WORSE. When I raised my concerns with Elliot Family in Windham, I eventually received an offensive, condescending letter telling me Lexapro can be used to treat "Change of Life" signs. Apparently in 2019 we still cannot call it menopause. Nor am I experiencing any signs of menopause (missed periods, hot flashes), just bad cramps.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
