List of Thomas Hong's Reviews
Might be a smart guy but terrible compassion for his patients. Seems like he’s more interested in setting up virtual appointments to make $$$$ than solving patients problems in a timely and ethically way.
Let me start by saying I used to love Dr Hong. He was different and he really cared. I can no longer say this. What I see now is a Dr that is burnt out and really needs to take some time off to find that love of healing again. I had Covid and the treatment I got from DR Hong was totally unacceptable. I was so bad that I needed oxygen and an inhaler and he ordered these for me. Thank you!. The only thing is it took a week before I was contacted from Dr Hongs office stating the 02 was coming the next day. Well 7 days into my worst experience I didnt need the 02 any more. Thank God a family member had 02 and an inhaler and I was using theirs. The poor treatment didnt stop there. I had many virtual appts as I was out of work for 8 weeks and on disability. At one visit Dr Hong actually says "What are we doing here? Do I just have to keep filling out paperwork?" I started crying. I then said well I am still having shortness of breath 5 weeks into this. Do I still have Covid or am I now a long hauler? He then says he can order a follow up chest xray to see if I still have Covid pneumonia. Really? It takes me prompting you to order the chest xray 5 weeks into this. The office never sent the paperwork to my HR department as they said they would . It took several attempts after every visit to get this done. Again I am still feeling terrible with covid and I should not have had to deal with all this incompetence. Thankfully, I now have a new PCP .
Dr. Hong has been my primary care doctor for many years now. I am a 67 year old male who has the usual health issues and then some others! He has always been available to me, provided excellent care and I would highly recommend him.
Years of trust went down the drain in one visit. It is very unfortunate that we did not feel that this provider advocated for my loved ones needs. Appointment was scheduled as a follow up for a scan and then no results. No efforts to make an appointment sooner then later with the next MD involved. It would have been nice for someone who the patient had trust in and a rapport built with to begin a hard conversation then direct them to the specialist. Never heard from him/his office since.
I qualified staff when I called into this office a few times, while searching for a new primary physician. I looked at the bios of the doctors on staff, and asked some of the office staff and nurses questions about them, and shared with them my style. I told them I was in search of a new primary physician who would meet my needs but also work 'with' me, and not have the 'God Complex' a lot of them have-- which I experienced with various different doctors. I wanted someone who wasn't offended by my thoroughness of questions...and understood I am my own advocate, and would work 'with' me and not be a dictator. All roads pointed to Dr Hong. I can say that he has delivered on this. Great Doctor, Great Person. You can have a conversation with him. He treats you as a human being, and as his patient he has a vested interest in.
An excellent doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
