Incredibly arrogant with a terrible bedside manner. I can't imagine he would want his family to be treated by a doctor the way we were treated by him.

He treated me for an extremely swollen insect bite at Huggins ER. My hand was almost twice its normal size and I was having troubles with breathing. He told me to "go outside, stick my arm out and wait to get bitten" so I'll know what I'm allergic to, and sent me home. The most arrogant doctor I've ever been seen by.

Saw Dr. Copenhaver at the ER Huggins. I had a knee problem and he did not even look at my knee. The RN was the one who did all the work. Dr Copenhaver appeared arrogant and disinterested.

Saw dr. copenhaver, at a military clinic, for kidney stones. While there I requested a CT-Scan to see if any stone was large enough for concern. He refused. I didn't know how long the stones had been growing so I persisted but he became rude and insisted I wait, certain it was only a 4mm stone that would pass in a day or two. I went home. After 2-days of pain & vomiting I returned to the clinic and again requested a scan be done. Again, he refused. In the ensuing argument, he said neither I nor any of my family members would be seen by him ever again at the military clinic. He submitted paperwork and we were forced to seek medical care in town. We quickly found a new Dr. who referred me to an Urologist, who immediately ordered the imaging and scheduled me for his next open appointment where I received extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and a Ureteroscopy, the manual extraction of the large stone lodged in my ureter. I regret not having sought legal action against him-PATIENT BEWARE!

This doctor is employed by the military, and it shows. He practically makes you twist his arm to get simple medications. Doesn't seem to care about pain issues.
