List of George Sandau's Reviews
Hello everyone whom is reading this. I'll start off saying I have had very poor luck with dentist. I allowed myself to get into trouble with dental hygiene and also on another note I will never give 5 Stars. That said I believe there was always room for improvement. However, Dr. Sandau proved me wrong. I personally have never felt more comfortable and assured that everything would be alright. I had 3 extractions done and did not feel a thing. Dr. Sandau made sure I was relaxed and at ease always asking every few minutes how I was doing. I personally would recommend him to anyone that would need the same type of procedure. Rest assured Dr. Sandau IS the BEST in the tri-state area.
Dr sandau accused me of seeking narcotics.i was referred by Dr Gacita to have 3 wisdom teeth pulled. I don't want it done Ive being told to get it done. Dr sandau bedside manner is horrific and he made me feel very uncomfortable.
The Best
I was so nervous I thought I was going to pass out literally! The staff there were absolutely amazing! Did everything they could to ease my fears...including playing my favorite music! Dr. Sandau was awesome and explained exactly what he was doing in a gentle and informative manner! I can not say enough about this office!
Dr. Sandau was amazing and a true professional. I was so afraid because I had so much pain after the crown came off of my tooth because my dentist said that it was too decayed to fix it and make a new crown. My dentist said that I had to see an oral surgeon and she referred me to have the tooth extracted and to get a bone graft so that I could get an implant afterward to replace it. I had a lot of questions about everything and I was very nervous. Dr Sandau took the time to explained how the bone graft worked and that he would be able to do the implant on the same day as the extraction and he gave me options with the laughing gas or to be asleep or just the needle if I wanted. I did it all with the gas and the needle together so I was awake and I never felt any pain at all. Dr Sandau had an excellent bedside manner and took the time to answer all of my questions. I would recommend him as a great oral surgeon to anyone that needed one.
I had a difficult tooth extraction and bone graft implant and had absolutely no pain throughout the entire surgery even though I opted for local anesthesia. Dr. Sandau explained everything clearly to me and his advice made me opt for this procedure. My recovery has been just as painless and I only took a couple ibuprofens in the first couple days but probably didn’t need it as I never felt pain even when the medicine had worn off. I highly recommend Dr. Sandau and so glad he performed this surgery. I had a tooth that’s roots were in my sinuses and the extraction seemed to have also cured years of sinus issues that this tooth may have been causing! So glad I finally took care of this problem tooth after 25 years of issues! Glad my dentist referred me to Westwood Oral surgery in Woodbury Heights, NJ. The staff was wonderful too and kept me calm the entire procedure! I highly recommend Dr. Sandau! Thank you for fixing this tooth problem!
This doctor is ultimately the best oral surgeon! He treated both of my boys & they both left ironically with HUGE SMILES after oral surgery . He also treated me twice knowing my anxiety was sky high, he knew the exact words to say to relax me!
After being told incorrectly by numerous people in the dental insurance arena that my problem should be handled by Endodentistry, I found my way to Dr. George Sandau, Oral Surgeon, DMD, MD. He correctly diagnosed the heretofore misdiagnosed condition, and clearly stated what needed to be done; extraction of my front crown/tooth #10, bone grafting and the construction of a “flipper” (by a general dentist) which would be worn to conceal my missing front tooth! This would be no simple matter since extraction of #10 required the tedious task of separating it from crown/tooth #11 without cracking or fracturing it. The aforementioned necessitated both tissue and bone regeneration for a period of approximately three (#3) months before the second phase of treatment could be implemented. Specifically, implant, abutment and the creation of a permanent crown. To say the least, I was extremely anxious with the entire ordeal at hand, and especially being put under anesthesia, at age 73, having previously undergone open-heart surgery for mitral valve reconstruction. Dr. Sandau was most sensitive to my anxiety and patiently articulated each detail of what he was doing as he was doing it. He exuded both a quiet calm and a high level of skilled experience that served to both reassure and relax me. He earned my trust! Not only did he take me step-by-step throughout a difficult process, but he was most empathetic while doing so. His skill in diagnosing and treating my condition was truly outstanding and I would recommend him without reservation. -S.L.H.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
