List of Walter G. Husar Md's Reviews
Amazing. I’ve been seeing Dr. Husar for almost 4 years now. This is the first time a doctor has been compassionate and sympathetic to me. I have a chronic neurological disorder. He is helping me live my best life with the cards that I was dealt. He orders my MRIs and gets them approved. He make sure I have medicine so I’m not in pain. He goes over my MRIs and when new symptoms arise. He’s there to help me. I would recommend him to friends and family and anyone who’s looking for a new Neurologist.
He is a wonderful physician. He put together a set of diverse symptoms that no other physician, including other neurologists, saw as connected, and found the correct diagnosis that connected them all, and confirmed that diagnosis with testing. The condition is treatable, and I will be starting treatment with him soon. He listens! And he really cares.
I went to Dr. Husar after informing him of having slightly numb hands, feet and face in January. He proceeded to tell me that I needed bloodwork and that I had to go to Labcorp because of my insurance (even though the sign says that they take all insurances). I told him that I already gotten blood drawn from a Patient First clinic and showed him the tests but he still told me that I needed to get bloodwork. Regardless, that didn't bother me, what did however was that he informed that once he received the new blood test, that he would call me to go over the results so we could see what steps were needed to fix he problem I was experiencing. It is now March and I have not received any call or letter. I attempted to contact him numerous times throughout February only to get a voicemail(which I left messages that were unanswered). The couple of times that he did answer, he said that he would call me back because he was busy with a patient, but he never would. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because I'm sure he is busy but this is just negligence and poor time management skills, which no doctor should have. So unless you like to constantly hound your doctor to do their job to no avail, I would not recommend this doctor at all.
He misdiagnosed me and told me there's no point in getting further testing... negligence
Dr Husar is awesome! He listened to my symptoms and I feel he cares. He made me feel more at ease about my issues and diagnosis! I finally found a neurologist that I love!
Dr. H is a great doctor and a good man. He listens and writes down everything so nothing is missed. He is kind compassionate and makes you feel like you are his only patient.
After reading a negative review I am compelled to share my exceptionally wonderful experience this morning with Dr Husar... I found Dr Husar to be very kind and compassionate as well as he has a warm and welcoming personality. I was inserted into their full schedule with little notice. He took so much time with me. I have seen no other practitioner ever do so much. He asked all of the pertinent questions and genuinely cared about my ailment. He came up with a reasonable treatment plan and I am expected to follow up with him in one month. I can't say enough nice things about the man! I found the office staff to be equally warm, welcoming and friendly.
He didn't really listen to my concerns and gave an incorrect diagnosis.
Dr Husar has been my doctor at the Veterans Hospital and at his private practice. I have known him for 25 years. Dr Husar is an outstanding physician who listens and truly cares about his patients. If you need a neurologist Dr Husar is the man to see.
Very Rude Staff, Does Not follow up with patients. Staff does NOTHING to help sick patients. Dr. Husar does not care about his patients at all. All of this has been told to Dr. Husar many times

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
