List of Kenneth Chern's Reviews
Dr Chern was my second opinion for relief for torn rotator cuff plus 2 tendons in my rt shoulder. First surgeon from another practice said nothing could be done [though I believe it was not in his ability to operate on the shoulder.] Dr. Chern explained my situation and offered a reverse shoulder replacement... if I was willing to work hard in recuperation. The surgery at Ocean Medical Center went well. Six weeks later, I am now in the strengthening phase of PT and am improving daily. Post-op visits to Dr Chern are professionally run, involving xrays and skilled assistants at the Freehold office. I see a flexible, painfree future if I continue to progress under his instructions. I feel very ckmfortable with Dr Chern and revommend him.
First office visit said I need meniscus surgery. Was told surgery went well. Little pain from surgery. But knee pain never improved. He said I might need gel shots at first visit. With no relief I agreed to gel shots. First shot was painful. He said he hit something it left an egg and big bruise. Second shot Didn’t hurt as much. Third shot I SAW STARS And gave long scream He said he may have hit a nerve and you can’t see a nerve under the skin. He said next time he’ll give be shot in different location. Quick I’m sorry and left room. I asked male Staff for ice, said I can ice it when I get home. Female asst who was in room during shot said give her ice. So male staff did. No real compassion from Chern, I have one shot to go and hope it works. Supposedly it can take 6 weeks to know. if shots works, I’m finding a new doctor to get future shots. I Won’t refer to him as I felt this is just a job & has little compassion, not sure I needed surgery
Said I needed Meniscus surgery for pain I was having. It felt like knee going out of joint. After Surgery no relief . agreed to gel shots for relief. First one, PAINFUL,he said he hit something (big black & blue with egg afterwards, 2nd one was ok. 3rd one I SAW STARS AND SCREAMED for about 15 seconds. I said I didn't expect that, he said neither did he. He said he hit a nerve and you can't see nerves under skin. Had no real compassion, he left in a hurry. I was very shaken from pain still. I called out to staff to get me some ice. male asst. said you can get ice when you get home. The female who was present during shot. Said from the hallway, get her ice! I'm due for 1 more shot. Have requested someone else to give me the last shot. They gave me NP. I might have given 3 star but after the shots I've lost all respect for his skills
Dr Chern is world class. I trust his opinion for my health.
Dr. Kenneth Chern is an outstanding physician, I highly recommend him. He and his team of fine professionals at Seaview Orthopaedics did an excellent job of restoring my badly torn rotator cuff. It's great to be back in action, and I'm very thankful.
Good man, great doctor
Dr. Chern is the absolute best!!!! he is kind, caring concerned, and thoughtful! My insurance has changed since I last saw him and Seaview does not take my new insurance and it doesn’t matter to me! I will continue to go to him at any cost! I wouldn’t trust anyone else!!!
Dr. Churn confidence to return my shoulder to its full function has been realized. I greatly appreciate the awesome work Dr.Churn ,his surgical crew , John & everyone at sea view Brick helped with making it as pleasant a experience as possible. Dr. Churn explained the procedure & recovery very thorough . With the help of Dawn & P. T. Department I'm recovering great . I've hit every bench mark for strength and range motion exactly as Dr. Churn had laid out on day One. Thank you all J. Elmore

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
