Peter Smith's Online Review Report Card

At first, Dr. Smith and his office manager Mary were extremely helpful and kind. I went in for an initial consultation and discussed with the doctor a few medical procedures he would do to try and help me but if those failed he would refer me to a surgeon and I agreed because it sounded like a good plan. I had my first procedure and was told to return in 2 weeks to check on the area. Dr. Smith it would take a while to see results and to come back in 6 months....fast forward 6 months and there was no change in my situation so a different procedure had to be done. I then had a second procedure done and that failed as well so then talks of referring me to a surgeon began sprouting up again and I was completely fine with that. I then had an appointment scheduled but his office manager called and said we had to reschedule. I was then rescheduled another 3-4 more times before I was actually seen again so it was many months later. When I finally went in for my appointment, Dr. Smith tried the second procedure again to see if it would help but was preparing to refer me out. I was then told in order to refer me out to a surgeon, I would need an MRI to be completed and that they would send a request to my insurance (NJ Horizon Health) and that they would call me to set up the MRI and blood work needed. A few weeks go by and I don't hear anything from Dr. Smiths office so I texted his office manager (they would cancel on me so often that the office manager started texting me to give me a notice that they needed to reschedule me) to ask for an update. Her response was "it's under a peer to peer review as we speak and I'll let you know as soon as I hear something." 2 weeks go by and I hadn't heard back so I texted the office manager again and she didn't respond. I called Dr. Smiths office and left messages that were never returned. After waiting 3 months!! I called my insurance today and was told Dr. Smith never put in the MRI request so the office manager lied about my case being peer reviewed. Still confused as to why they won't return calls and dropped me as a patient but it probably has to do with me not having the best insurance and the doc would rather see those with insurances that pay more or those that can pay out of pocket. Nothing but lies and unprofessional staff here.

Dr. Smith recommended my father get a leg amputation after tests showed poor circulation in his foot. When asked about getting a second opinion, Dr Smith said there were no other options and an amputation was inevitable. Thankfully we visited another vascular surgeon in the city and I can gratefully report that HE DOES NOT need an amputation. Dr Smith misdiagnosed my father and all he needed was a new medication to treat neuropathy. My father is currently pain free and still has his leg. Dr. Smith needs to update his equipment to better diagnosis his patients. I feel bad for those patients who had unnecessary amputations. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Smith.

Dr.Smith is an excelente doctor. He is very patient. Good bless him.

Dr Smith and his staff are great...made he feel so confident with the procedure I had. Dr. Smith took the time to talk to me and covered all of the details until I had no more questions. I would highly recommend him.

I would give ZERO STARS if I could. This "man" is a poor excuse for a person, let alone a Dr. He needs BBB on him and his license taken away immediately. He told my elderly grandmother "I hope you have bad luck" and called her stupid. Unbelievable? I know... this is not the last hes going to hear from me.

I visited Dr. Smith about a year or so ago. He was extremely rude and tried to make me feel inferior to him. Said I asked too many questions regarding my health. He may be a good surgeon, I don't know, as I could not continue with him. No need for this grandiosity

Great doctor. Wonderful service. I was very please with the results, my spider veins are gone.
