List of Seema N. Varma's Reviews
Oh my goodness, what can I say? Dr. Varma is such a blessing. She gave me exactly what I was looking for.....a breakdown in detail of what was going on with me and what my action plan should be. She's kind, compassionate and makes sure you are comfortable with her decisions about your care plan. She took the time to talk to me which told me that she cares about her patients. Her staff is very professional and very friendly.
Explained well, listened thoroughly, very patient and detailed. Follow up was satisfying
Dr. Varma was detailed in explaining, took time to answer questions, treatment plan was clear and detailed to me. She was always available when we needed help. Staff is friendly and nice.
She was “treating”‘my mother for lung cancer. She told her it’s treatable and sent her to have 2 weeks of radiation. After radiation my mother had bad side effects and was rushed to the ER thinking she was having a heart attack. After being released from the hospital a few days later my mom went to her first chemo treatment per Dr. Varma. Days later she fell in her apt and after 12 hours on a hard floor, she was rushed to the ER. We called Dr. Varma’s office trying to get some answers and any help at all. These calls were mostly left without any return calls. Finally she visits my mom in the hospital and sees my moms feet are the size of softballs. She said it’s normal and to ice and elevate them. Afterward the hospital found multiple blood clots in her legs and lungs along with fluid in her lungs. They drained her lungs and released her to a rehab facility. My mom died a week later. I called Dr.Varma the day before she died. I had to leave a message for the nurse which I did asking to me to call me back as I had some concerns about my mothers well being. The next morning was the last time i heard her voice and never received a return call. PLEASE DO BETTER BY YOUR LOVED ONES and fine another oncologist.
WORST OFFICE EVER! My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer this past September. We chose this office due to all the positive reviews. Wow are these wrong!!! From her first visit to her taking her last breath a few days ago this office has been a total nightmare! We waited weeks for her first appointment. We show up that morning to a closed office. They screwed up the schedule. Then proceeded ...
Dr varma has no respect nor compassion for her patients. While attempting to have a consensus discussion between a mother and son based on the life of the father. She constantly interrupted and pushed for a decision she wanted rather than give 1 minute of decency to at least talk about a human life. Absolutely disgusting and despicable behavior. Only took a moment of silence to be a decent human being and she could not do that. Horrified for anyone who puts their life in her hands
Explained thoroughly, took very good care of details and excellent knowledge and bedside manners . Office staff was very helpful.
Me and and my husband were lost after so many new findings, she gave us complete thorough information, guided us and was of immense help in our decisions. Treatment went well and she was always helpful. We are glad we found her.
About the previous comment-"Dr. Varma -Anonymous in Old Bridge, NJ | 07/15/2016" It is the law that results cannot be given out to anyone in patient's absence and without patient's consent. Being persistent and demanding about it will not make staff diverge from the law.
Would recommend always

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
