List of Eileen R. Conti's Reviews
Enjoyed this eye doctor. I thought that Doctor Hoye was not super talkative, but very courteous and did a good job with my eye exam. The front staff was very nice. I was in and out with my entire exam very quickly with only 1 person waiting in front of my on a Monday after work. Takes insurance too. Will definitely be back.
Without a doubt - a very experienced and knowledgeable doctor. If you are in a need of an appointment with a tight timeline, this is not for you. If you are expecting a routine eye exam to last anything less than 1 1/2 hours beginning to end this is not for you. If you become frustrated over last minute cancelations or not getting a return phone call, this is not for you.
Dr. Eileen Conti exhibits professionalism, concern, and respect for the patient.... just a lovely person. 15+ years a thankful patient.
I saw Dr Conti for years before our insurance changed and we had to change doctors. I was thrilled when we could again see Dr Conti. She is very thorough and I trust her completely.
Be careful they ask for unauthorized copay, don't pay and have them file claim first and show you the rejection letter by the insurance company.
I hesitated to judge others but seeing several “bad service comments compelled me to say that an MD office is not like a hair salon. Conti & Hoye are incredibly competent, thus incredibly overworked.Yet this couple assures you caring quality as many I referred to them attest. I am one of those. Yes you wait, yes in the press of things you might read exasperation as a slight. But they are people and parents like us all with a lot in their mind. Conti is on call for all sorts of emergencies and if that’s deemed “bad service,” then that’s too bad as her priorities are not like those of a hairdresser. Hoye is amazingly thorough and competent but he’s not chatty. Yet he fights your eye problems until he’s got them licked. I keep testing his competence and, like hers, it never failed. I thought I owe it to them to remind folks that an Ophthalmologist is not a shopkeeper and Occular Medicine is not a synch. It is a precision task demanding great concentration so it’s not a casual setting. But if you ever open your other eye, you’ll see how much they care when they are dealing with your eyes one at a time of as a coordinated set. Don’t ask from a bomb defuser what you demand from a shoe salesman. Conti & Hoye may not be listening to your small talk or narrating as they go but that’s because, when they are handling them, your eyeballs are the most important thing in the world to them. Few MDs are like that so dom’t Ask them to sing and dance while they are laser-focused on your eyes. In the silence you can feel assured that your vision means as much to them as it does to you. So they can’t treat you as if you were Queen Elizabeth but they sure care for everyone’s eyes— that means yours— as if they were and we’re all very fortunate to have such profound skill and competence within reach. There are very few like them. That’s why I put my eyes literally in their hands. So, no, they don’t entertain us with tricks but they sure make it possible for us to see all the lowdown tricks the all business MDs pull by seeing what expert ophthalmology is all about. How priceless do to consider such professionalism? How about 5 stars instead of one?
Don't pick up phone when you call - tried 3 times before got a live person to schedule an appointment. Decided to give them benefit of the doubt but should have paid attention. They don't return voice mails left. Am waiting 4 weeks for a trial pair of contacts that I don't think are coming - at all. Max wait with others was 7 biz days. The office is a mess, equipment dates back to 1980's . Went because insurance changed, needed a new Dr but won't go back. Wanted to give zero starts, but not allowed.
Think they're out of biz - waiting 4 weeks now for a sample contact to confirm new contact script is correct. Lost track of the number of times I've called and left a messages but no one ever returns my call and a live person never answers the phone. Plus I checked my benefits and they overcharged me. They promised a copy of bill, but never got that either. Equipment from the 1990's. All Service = no good, no stars, worse ever and don't trust results they gave me.
My whole family has been using Dr. Conti for over 12 years. I trusted her to perform my LASIK surgery 10 years ago, when it took me 7 years to gain the courage to have it done. She was excited to perform the surgery on me because my eye sight rendered me as "legally blind." It has been wonderful to wake up each day and be able to see without having to put on thick glasses. I have two sons who use her for glasses and contacts, and one who just needs glasses for reading. It's nice to have a doctor who can help everyone in your family.
I went to the new office today. Her new staff was wonderful- very efficient, I was seen on time and, as usual, had very professional appointment with Dr. Conte. She answered all of my questions in a manner I could understand.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
