Decca Mohammed's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mohammed is great and the staff at the Maplewood location is more professional than Belleville. I have received care at both locations. The staff in Belleville can be rude and rush through phone calls where you can barely finish your sentence. I can't say this is true for all of the staff there but most. Calling to make an appointment or speak to a nurse can take a while so be prepared to be on hold as waiting times can be long and keep your fingers crossed that you don't get hung up on after being on hold for for what seems an eternity.

Dr. Mohammed delivered my last child about 2 years ago. The staff was always pleasant, my appointments were smooth-not a ridiculously amount of waiting time, and the doctors were amazing. Let’s fast forward to now! I called to schedule an appointment- Simone answered the phone and she was SO RUDE. I don’t know if she’s at the Belleville office or if she answers the phone for all “Empire Medical” offices, but I simply asked to make an appt and she answered back so irritated by asking who I wanted to be seen by and I paused for a second then said with whoever (meaning any obstetrician or their physician assistant like Dr. Mali) and she answered so annoyed and nasty stating there are about 40 doctors and I needed to choose one. So I paused again because I was confused. This never happened when I was pregnant; I had to make so many appointments so I saved the number on my phone. I said to her that there ‘s no need for attitude, and she just hung up on me. I called 3 times back to back and no answer. She could have guided me in a professional manner. I was so shocked and disappointed that I am writing my first review ever. It’s a shame that Dr. Mohammed is being represented by a MISERABLE receptionist. I decided to go to another obgyn.

Whether Dr Mohammed is a good Dr or not... I can't say due to her staff. I chose her because she is close to home and has great reviews when it comes to my own health concerns. However I was refused services because I was told that the claims address for my insurance company is in another state and my insurance is based in another state. Prior to my appt i verified that this Dr was in fact within my network. Not to mention I've been seen at this facility and many others providers in Jersey and never had an issue with my insurance. They didn't even bother to call my insurance co to verify my information (which is their responsibility before they go refusing services). Instead I was just turned away. I attempted to call my ins comp who confirmed Dr has been in network as of March of this year and who attempted 3 times to contact their office to clarify so I could keep my appt. Instead she was met with attitudes, runarounds and was even hung up on. I've worked in health insurance for 20 years and they did not follow proper protocol when it comes to verifying mbr information with the insurance company. Dr Mohammed, you may very well be a great Dr but your staff ruins any credibility.

Horrible. Got to my appointment at 4:30 and didn’t get seen till 6:45. This place is an absolute joke. The doctor saw me for all of 5 minutes rushing through the visit. And the receptionist failed to ever mention the office is at a completely different location.

Dr. Mohammad is awesome but the wait time in Belleville is too long.EDIT: Wait times have improved.

She delivered my baby and I couldn’t have had a better experience. I loved having her as my dr.

Dr. Mohammed and Dr. Maloney were wonderful I was so happy I was able to find these doctors I would defiantly go back to them again they are very thorough and put your mind at ease when having a baby! The nurses are very friendly as well. Know before you go that the office gets extremely busy you may wait at least an hour for every appointment.

EXTREMELY PATIENT- BEYOND WONDERFUL BED SIDE MANNER. EXPLAINS EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE. NOT THE TYPE DOCT YOUR IN AN OUT. LIKE IT USE TO BE IN THE OLD DAYS- EXPLAINS, LISTENS, CARING, IS WHAT DR. MOHAMMED IS. VERY EDUCATED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

She is one of the best person on the face of this earth!!!! Blessed to have her as our gynecologist

Dr. Mohammed is a great doctor. She is very pleasant & she cares about your well being. She delivered my grandchildren. I would recommend her to who ever is looking for a good GYN.
