I'm not sure if my complaint is about the staff or the doctor. I had seen this Dr for my routine colonoscopy. I called on November 28 after having some highly concerning symptoms for nearly two weeks. The receptionist was rude, and short. She gives me an appointment for January 23rd?! I explained this is not something that can wait two months. She snapped back, "THAT'S THE SOONEST I CAN GET YOU IN!". I called another Dr and had an appointment the following day. This doctor needs to seriously retrain his staff. People's lives are on the line. He's a good doctor but not worth putting up with his staff.

Worst doctor ever. Gave me a wrong prescription and confused treatment.

No problems with the doctor! It is the staff that are! I asked for them to kindly ask Dr. Robert Spira about lab work for methylmalonic acidemia and celiac disease so I can get tested because of its importance. They told me no and to wait for 2 months to see him or to ask a doctor who don't know much about testing those conditions. If Dr. Spira does see this review, I hope he would understand why I needed to be tested since I last saw them. The front secretaries lied to me saying I never saw him before despite knowing that I was just there twice last year.

The worst doctor experience I have ever had!! The slow and rude receptionist at the front desk was so rude the antiquated what they process your insurance info is slower that a fax machine. They over book patients and the wait is extremely long. It was so heartbreaking to see a elderly woman leave because she couldn't wait any longer for a simple pharmacy change, she left still in pain. There is so much paperwork to fill out with the same redundant questions on each paper why do I have to keep informing you about my marital status when I'm here for abdominal pai ???!!

They do a lots of test and never have the results and I keep calling and because of pandemic that they going to call me and they never did

I was referred by a friend, I was calling to make an appointment and hoping to make this my doctor going forward. I called early morning and did not find reception to be professional on the phone but I decided to disregard that and continue to make an appt. I called back at 12:20pm The reception desk put me on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back, when I called back she had put the phone out and went to lunch early. so I come to google to read reviews and I see that they are not good with patient privacy, listening to patient concerns, follow up from the doctor and reception. This confirms the hesitation I felt with this location just from my inital call. I will now take this as a sign and give my business to a more professional office. often times we disregard our gut feelings but this time I cannot.

Dr Robert Spira save me from the grip of colon cancer in 2000. I am convinced that his diagnosis and actions saved my life. He has been taking care of me ever since with followup colonoscopy. He is a wonder doctor with a great bed-side manner.

Dr does not have much time to talk . Dr Assistance is horrible . They are not bother about anythings . Even you call and follow up ... no result . I would not suggest. Dr even not checked properly 😡. He is very popular but personal experience is not good .

I have been seeing Dr. Robert Spira since 2001 & thank God every day that a Nurse in Same Day Surgery told me to go to him because the Gastroenterologist I was seeing then was awful. From the 1st visit I knew I had met the right Dr. He is the most knowledgeable, compassionate & understanding Dr. I know. I have numerous medical issues & he has listened & helped to coordinate all of my medicines to lessen my stomach problems. I continually bother him, as I have anxiety, & he always has time to listen & give me advice as how to handle my specific problem. I have recommended him to my husband, daughter, brother & friends & the, too, have the same praise for him. His staff is so caring to me & I consider them like friends.

I have been seeing Dr. Robert Spira for almost 20 years & he is the Best Gastroenterologist I know. He treats the "whole" patient, rather than just the problem you are havings with your stomach. I have had numerous medical issues & some overlap with my stomach, for which Dr. Robert Spira listens & incorporates my stomach medicine with other medicines I need. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate & friendly Doctor, he is the one for you. His Office Staff is so very kind & they've become more like friends.
