Alexander Gnoy's Online Review Report Card

Have seen Dr. Gnoy several times for chronic ear infections and though the ear gunk suction is not particularly pleasant, Dr. Gnoy is always kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. I hope to never have to see him again (because ear infections are not fun) but if I do get another, I am confident in the care I will receive and glad I have him to help.

Very thorough. Took his time and answered all my questions. Seemed very knowledgeable. Didn't wait at all in the waiting room. Overall very great experience.

Dr. Gnoy did an amazing job on my sinus surgery years ago and has also treated others in my family. He's great.

Went to Dr. Gnoy because I had severe ear pain. He spent only 2 minutes with me and blamed the pain on my tmj. He did not fully hear me out and was very quick to dismiss me. He did nothing for me. 2 weeks later and today I went to a different ENT and they said I had a severe ear infection that had worsened because it was not properly treated. I had been in severe pain and could not hear in one ear since seeing Dr. Gnoy initially. This new ENT had to drain my ear since it was so bad and prescribe medication. This could have all been avoided had Dr. Gnoy been more thorough and put in more of an effort. Safe to say I will not be returning to him again.

I was extremely happy with my first visit with Dr. Gnoy. He was on time and I felt he listened to my concerns and was compassionate towards the way I was feeling. He explained treatment plan clearly and made sure I understood. I felt he was thorough and very kind. I appreciated that he mentioned to take probiotics as not to have an upset stomach on meds and that he explained how the meds would work to ease my symptoms and what our next steps for care would be. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gnoy!

My son needed bilateral myringotomy tubes placed desperately. His surgery was canceled twice by the provider caring for him in NY. The second cancelation was due to elective surgery cancelations due to COVID-19 OR shut downs. My son and I met with Dr. Gnoy with the understanding that he still had access to the OR. He was easy to talk to, open to accepting my son’s case on a whim understanding his desperate need for the procedure, and had even put a request in for a spot in the OR before it also shut down for electives due to COVID-19. The surgery was performed the next day, the process was smooth, and the team was professional and pleasant to deal with as well. My son is doing great! Thank you!

Dr. Gnoy is excellent at explaining what the symptoms mean and what his recommendations are.

I have never had a physician visit where the physician was so rude and curt. He entered the room made no eye contact and went directly to the computer. He gave me a diagnosis which I feel was accurate. There was zero explanation of my situation. He told me to google it! I have been a nurse for 40 years and have met many physicians, have never felt compelled to write a review. I had to for Dr Gnoy I would never recommend him to anyone.

I think Dr Gnoy is one of the best doctors I have ever experienced in the medical field. When he arrived in the office to see me for the first time -he was already knowledgeable about my case and history. He recommended surgery and I felt comfortable with his advice. The appointment scheduling was efficient and the follow up as well. 5 star professionalism.

I agree with a previous reviewer. Dr. Gnoy is clearly knowledgeable in his field, but his approach toward children leaves much to be desired. My son experienced recurring ear infections and had some anxiety about seeing an ear doctor. Dr. Gnoy did not even attempt to make him feel comfortable. In fact, he didn't seem to care about the anxiety. I prefer to see someone who is sensitive, kind and gentle.
