Ellen B. Lunenfeld's Online Review Report Card

I have been going to Dr. Ludenfeld for at least 10 years ( when she first started at SMG) l highly recommend her. She is extremely professional as well as very caring. She takes her time asking questions and discussing your health options and issues in office visits . She never rushes you. Her staff is equally helpful and professional, but also caring. I highly recommend Dr. Ludenfeld.

I must share my experience for those who plan to make an appointment for a 24 hour blood pressure monitor. I just drove appx 3 hours round trip because I had an appointment for an ambulatory blood pressure monitor. I waited over two months for this appointment and when I showed up they said, "we don't have you on our schedule for today, do you know who you spoke to?". I replied, "yes, I spoke with Joannie". She said, "Oh I'm Joannie". She told me there was nothing she could do for me because they only have one monitor, ONE MONITOR, and they already gave it to the patient before me. My appointment was for 8:30am. I explained that I was very upset to hear this and couldn't imagine being turned away after driving close to an hour and a half just to get there. I then spoke to Jeanine, the supervisor/nurse, who also confirmed that they already gave their one and only monitor to someone else. She offered to give me an appointment at the end of the week but no thank you. I didn't get to meet Dr. Lunenfeld but I do hope she is made aware of my experience. I hope this never happens to anyone else. It was a total waste of my time and my husband's time since he had to take the morning off to get our child off to school and not to mention the amount of gas I wasted (five dollars a gallon). As you can imagine, ironically, my blood pressure was through the roof after this experience. Thanks for nothing.

I waited over two months for this appointment and when I showed up, Joannie (the same person who scheduled my appt), said I wasn't on the schedule and there was nothing she could do for me because they only have one monitor, ONE MONITOR, and they already gave it to the patient before me. My appointment was for 8:30am. I explained that I was very upset to hear this and couldn't imagine being turned away after how long it took me to get there. I then spoke to Jeanine, the supervisor/nurse, who offered me another appointment at the end of the week. NO THANK YOU! So unacceptable and unprofessional. It was a complete waste of time, gas (five dollars a gallon)...and money lost due to canceling work appointments.

Dr. Lunenfeld is one of the very best Nephrologists out there practicing medicine today. Very quiet, unassuming, professional. She was able to diagnose the source of my HBP - something that had confounded the very best cardiologists on three continents - and to bring it down from stroke levels to very much under control. She is the cosumate listener - in a field where many do not listen. I owe her my life. I was extremely lucky to find her 9 years ago.

Totally incompetent ,she misdiagonsed my moms condition ,wanted her to start a treatment that could've harmed her ,thank god for second opinions ,STAY AWAY

INCOMPETENT

Incompetent, arrogant, self-righteous - are just a few words to describe Ms. Lunenfeld, who calls herself a doctor. It's hard to believe that someone like her has a medical degree. Some doctors at least have book knowledge, she has no knowledge at all, at least not in the field of nephrology. She totally misinterpreted my blood work and failed to correctly diagnose. When was questioned about the error, she came up with a lie but never admitted her error. She has this arrogant demeanor, and she never answers any of your questions. It is probably because she knows absolutely nothing about what she's doing. The office staff is also very incompetent: they can't even perform the simplest task such as entering a correct address into their system. I asked for a copy of my bloodwork to be mailed out to me, but never received anything. Later, found out they sent it to the wrong address. My best advice: if you value your health, stay away from Ms. Lunenfeld and her office.

Reaction to medication prescribed required surgery, She had not known side effects. When I told her what happened, she treated me very unprofessionally.
