I saw Dr. Kwartler because I lost hearing in my left ear after MVD surgery. He explained the different types of hearing aides that would best fit my needs and explained in detail everything. He surgically implanted a baja hearing aid.Him, as well as the staff at the hospital, his office & audiology dept. are amazing. I had a baja hearing aid implant and it went extremely well. He and all mentioned above were very kind and helpful. I don't have enough words to say how happy I am with my experience.

My wife had a surgery for acoustic neuroma done by doctor Kwartler. First was told there would be a better than 50% chance she’d keep her hearing. She lost all hearing in her ear. Ever since she gets bad tinnitus. Since the surgery and the “affordable” care act we no longer can “afford” insurance. We called dr Kwartler to set up a visit and I asked how much the visit will be. They told me $415 dollars! Are you nuts! He sees us for 10 minutes! I’m sorry but this whole health care system has gotten out of hand. You are not worth $3000 an hour for simple examinations. Money hungry. Greedy. Disgusting.

Dr. Kwartler is a brilliant ear / Neuro surgeon/ doctor, I had a rare infection, he performed a very delicate serious operation with great compassion. I had some hiccups in the healing aspect(nothing relating to his work, other areas of a simultaneous operation ) every time I called he responded quickly with an understanding of his patients needs and reassurance. Can’t say enough amazing things ... if you want a brilliant doctor who puts patients first as opposed to feeding the ego and spotlight many rare specialists come with.. he is ALL ABOUT HIS PATIENTS! Healing,Humble, gently and calming ALL the things patients who suffer could ever want from A to Z..

I just had my two year follow-up with Dr. Kwartler for my Acoustic Neuroma treatment. Internet reviews can be suspect, which is why I encourage readers to check with the NJ ANA as well, where lots of acoustic neuroma patients share information. I've had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Kwartler, who goes out of his way to explain with nuance, to call even out of office hours, and to make certain you have what you need. He also volunteers his time for conferences and social media responses in his practice area. As a remodeling contractor I always tell people the truth, whether they want to hear it or not. Dr. Kwartler does the same, which is something I appreciate greatly. His practice area is not one with simple or short answers to problems, and I've found him willing and able to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcome. He's a solid citizen.

I tried making an appointment and I was refused, seems my hearing loss and ear problems and breathing issues are not good enough for him to see me.

Dr Kwartler is one of the best doctors I have ever met. Under his skilled hands I just had a Stapedectomy performed to correct my hearing and after the procedure I had no pain, no nausea or any other side affects. He even called himself early the next morning to see how I was doing. His office staff is also very caring and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him. Thanks again Dr Kwartler!

I just had a stapedectomy on my second ear yesterday. I have otosclerosis and Dr Kwartler did my first surgery in February. I had a very good experience. Everyone was very nice and all instructions were clear. I was told that the first few days I'll feel light-headed, dizzy and will lose the sense of taste. I did lose the sense of taste for about three weeks but I wasn't light headed or dizzy. After surgery I didn't feel any pain at all. Now the second time around I didn't lose my sense of taste and feel great. Dr Kwartler went into the ear canal without making any incisions on the outside of my ear. I recommend this doctor and would give him a thousand stars if that option was available.
