Dr. Khalil, a rare find in doctor’s in todays world. She makes the patient her utmost priority. She is concise, thorough and will take the time to sit and explain her findings and recommendations . We have relocated 1 1/2 hour driving time from Berkeley Heights. No matter the distance, my wife and I will see nobody but Dr. Khalil. I am proud to say, I’ve been her patient over 10 years, and will continue religiously to see Dr Khalil and have 110% trust in her.

I feel fortunate to have Dr. Khalil as my opthamologist. She is a consumate professional: knowledgeable thorough, and caring. She explains what she's observing and patiently answers questions. She instills confidence. She books appointments pretty far in advance for routine exams (I suspect because she's in high demand.)

Firstly, the front office staff is rude and doesn’t give doctor messages (twice or so she claims). The wait times in the waiting room and once in the examination room are exceedingly long. I recently went for a preop visit and had a few questions and concerns and all were fluffed off. I wanted one thing and never answered my what if questions and then I had to remind HER to check my glaucoma pressures (which were not responding to medication so she realized after saying “oh yes I probably should”). Also, IF you bring records from another doctor make sure YoU ask for original backs because they will be thrown out including colored photos!! Do yourself a favor and find another more caring office !

Dr Khalil is a great ophthalmologist. She takes the time to explain conditions and procedures and allows patients to ask questions. She is calm, pleasant and professional. I have an unusual issue with one eye and she has been a great resource and comfort. I respect her and appreciate her on my 'team'. The one issue is that she is typically running behind by 30 -45 minutes. Worth the wait
