Dr. Freilich is awesome. He is easy to understand and patient. I asked his staff before he entered the room, if he was an Ophthalmologist. They repeatedly said no, he’s a retina specialist. I asked again and was told no. That confused me. There are lots of medical assistants, however there’s lots of patients too. They should know what kind of medicine he practices. Otherwise, everything moves smoothly and the wait was minimal. My insurance covered the visit and they scheduled my next visit right away. I also like that they remind you of your next visit. Thank you ??

Dr. Freilich seemed to be in a hurry. His manner was brusque. He said I had a certain eye condition and was going to give me the first treatment --- the first of a series of injections into my eye. Before I had a chance to kind of take it all in, he had me tilt my head back and gave me the numbing drops before the injection. He didn't identify the drug he was injecting. Dr. Freilich didn't ask if we (my wife was with me) had any questions. I asked if I could continue to use my computer and he said Yes, on his way out the door. I felt like "just another case" instead of a person with serious concerns. Given the large number of patients your practice probably sees daily, my wife and I were surprised we weren't given a handout with important patient information, like --- brief background on the disease, a brief explanation of the treatment (how it works), post-treatment instructions (Do's and Don'ts), what side effects you may have, etc. Altogether, a very frustrating experience.
