List of Edna R. Lopez Maslak's Reviews
My kids were her patients since they were born. My daughter is 15 and my son is 12. I am attending nursing school, and last year, due to a lack of time from my part, and a lack of appointments from dr Maslak, I had to take my kids to get their check ups done at my primary care physician’s office, because they needed their forms for back to school sport. Since Dr. Maslak had no availability, I took them to my doctor, and thought that I would just make appointments with Dr Maslak in the next Year. Little did I know that once you go to another doctor, Dr Maslak won’t accept your kids back. How is that possible? Is this how much she cares for her patients? The office said we hadn’t been there in 2 years, well, my kids got their check up done with them in 2020, then last year, and this year. So yes, thankfully my kids are healthy, so we only go for check ups. It just upsets me the fact that she knew these kids since they were born, and didn’t accept them back, even though she was the one that wasn’t available for appointments. I guess that’s for the better of my kids anyway. I’ll make sure they will go to a pediatrician that CARES, and that they are NOT JUST A NUMBER.
Very rude doctor , rolls her eyes every time I ask her a question about my 6 month old baby, when she knows you have a community plan insurance she treats you bad , i went to another doctor which actually care about my child. I think this doctor should retire soon
After waiting an hour in an empty office she refused to see my daughter because she’s afraid of my daughters cough (my daughter has allergies and asthma) you cannot be a doctor and afraid of these circumstances nonetheless yelling, rolling your eyes and slamming things around because you fear that she has COVID is unprofessional! Being cautious I understand but acting in this manner in front of my child and flat out refusing my daughter a visit without even given her a prescription for an inhaler is insane. The State Medical Board will be hearing about this!
Dr. Maslak is a sweet, knowledgeable, wise, and caring pediatrician. My boys are now 13 and 15, and Dr. Maslak has been their pediatrician since they were newborns. Due to my profession, I have met a lot of doctors, and have an advanced understanding of medicine. Dr. Maslak is simply one of the finest doctors, I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Maslak is knowledgeable in her field, and takes time to learn about her patients and offer suggestions to issues. Dr. Maslak is very direct in her questioning, some might find that offensive. I highly recommend this doctor because she is also a development specialist and is very observant.
the felmale african american doctor , i don't know her name , was doing things not apart of her job ! her job is to help with the patients needs not to be in their business or be rude and tell them what not to do with their social life ! I WILL NOT BE BRINGING MY CHILD HERE NOR WILL I BE COMING BACK ! i will be writing a written statement and will be sending it to whoever her boss is ! i feel like she doesn't need to be a doctor ! there's one thing with being a caring doctor and respectful and there's another with being nosey , bossy , and disrespectful to your patients . i will make sure she hears my voice and knows about herself .
Dr. Maslak was highly recommended when my preemies were discharged from the NICU. She is extremely thorough, compassionate, & takes the time to answer questions. She is professional, knowledgeable, caring, & knows her patients by name. She isn't the type of dr that overloads kids with medication. When my kids were in the hospital, she visited. When the kids got sick, she immediately responded. Simply an amazing pediatrician, my boys could not have been in better hands. Her staff is also great!
If you have public insurance they will treat you different. I would be an hour early for my appointment and I still had to wait 2-3 hours for my turn. She is not good with kids at all. -_- she would make me buy the medicine for the kids and the insurance covers it. The day I changed pediatric was because my toddler had throat, High fever and ear infection and she didn't subscribe anything. I left home with a "keep giving him ibuprofen".
We found Dr. Maslak herself to be a perfectly fine doctor, but after attending a routine, preventative visit we were billed twice for the same visit. When I called to ask about this and get it corrected, I was told that because we brought up a rash my daughter had (12 months) during the preventative visit they were "allowed" to charge us for the preventative visit and an office visit. I've never had a doctor do that before. And I never will again, as we will no longer be using Dr. Maslak. I find her business decisions to be unconscionable.
Dr. Maslak's waiting time is ridiculous. Every time I come here I am expected to wait for at least an hour and half before my sons are even seen. Also, she is rude and unprofessional and doesn't listen to any of your questions/concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
