Great doctor.
Dr Caruso is fantastic! However, the front desk people in the Bloomfield office are very rude, canceled an appointment 15 minutes prior to my appointment time. they don’t let you finish your question they cut you off. I would recommend the doctor but they need to get a new staff
I've been very impressed with the time, patience and professionalism of Dr. Caruso. I, personally, never experienced any problems with the office staff. I found it incredibly easy to make timely appointments and I truly appreciate how helpful they have been regarding all of the logistics surrounding surgery and aftermath. I would highly recommend this practice and am very grateful for Dr. Caruso & his staff.
Fue excelente operación , el mimo llamo a mi esposa después de la operación , explicó todo el proceso, mil gracias doctor
Incompetent staff scheduled wrong day with wrong Dr. Good thing I did not take off work. Office is in undesirable area as panhandlers and prostitutes greet you in the parking lot. Office is dirty. Was asked to give urine sample in bathroom. Found five uncovered samples from other patients next to toilet. Absolutely disgusting. Samples were left under the towel dispenser so if you wash your hands, the water drips IN YOUR SAMPLES!!!! Anyone can contaminate your sample. This is a place you would expect to see in Mexico not NJ. Stay away because if they don't care about the bathroom and samples, how can you trust them to clean the instruments. ABSOLUTE FAIL. I WALKED OUT BEFORE I WAS SEEN!!!!!!
Dr. Caruso is a competent professional who is currently treating me. Always cordial and caring, Dr. Caruso attentively listens to my questions and concerns and provides thorough, helpful answers to my questions. I am confident Dr. Caruso is treating me as well, if not better, than any other doctor can.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer over a year ago, Dr Caruso was fantastic in guiding me through the process. He took the time to make sure I understood every step of the process. One of the greatest doctor experiences I have ever had. I would highly recommend Dr Caruso!
Frequent urination problem (pee 10-12times at night). Dr. Caruso put me on antibiotics-3months (yes!) covering different spectra of bacteria. Did bladder intrusion test, vaginal ultrasound. Not much improvement (down to 7-8 times at night). Said it could be vaginal infection, but nothing clear. Took it into my own hands, did some research on the net. Cut down caffeine completely (coffee, soda etc). Vola! Frequency down to 2times at night. Very dissatisfied with the direction of his treatment. Landed up with a bill of $170 not covered by insurance for the bladder test.

Dr. Caruso himself is excellent. He's a knowledge urologist who is thorough and dedicated. I would highly recommend him. However, his office staff is mostly incompetent and consistently fail to give him messages. There is no follow up or communication with the doctor on lab results and if you don't self advocate constantly you will fall through the cracks. Simple UTI results can take a week to 10 days to finally get a script because no one follows up with the Doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
