Dr. Fox is simply the BEST. I started seeing her for teenage acne, am now 52, and anytime I have something going on dermatologically, I make the immediate call to her office. Not only us she top in the field, but still comes out to the waiting room to greet you and bring you to the exam room HERSELF! I don't know any other doctor who not only doesn't use nurses to do "the basics," but comes out to the waiting room to address her clients. She will spend as MUCH time with you as you need to feel comfortable and have all of your questions answered. Simply the best ??

Doesn’t have up to date equipment and she billed us 4 times for the same visit! The office staff must be ridiculously incompetent!

I was a patient for several years. Recently I tried to schedule an appointment and was told because I didn't come in during Covid for a check-up I would be considered a new patient. They told me the first available appointment was 90+ days out. Advice and I didn't think that was fair and after talking to the receptionist she finally gave me an appointment for the next day early morning. 15 minutes later they called me to cancel that appointment because I was considered a new patient. I have now found a new dermatologist and scheduled a visit with him yesterday. They were very accommodating and much more thorough than Dr. Fox has ever been in the past.

Attempted to reschedule an appointment. Staff member answering the phone was very curt and I felt as though I was on a witness stand. I'm in the healthcare field and would terminate someone for speaking that way to a patient. I found another practice due to this. The way patients are spoken to and assisted is equally important to the care we receive.

Dr. Fox rushes into the appointment barely looks at your skin, then runs out. i’ve been on the same medicine that should have been upgraded and it never was my new dermatologist said the prescription needed to be increased. Wish I left sooner. Also heard her yelling at staff every visit ..

My 13 year old daughter has been going to Dr. Fox as of December, 2020. Very efficient, was able to get my daughter's Eczema under control with lotions and creams suitable for what she was experiencing. I give her 5 stars. My problem is her front desk staff. Her last appointment was booked prior to our leaving the office, but on the day of we arrived and were told we did not have an appointment. So I'm just driving around and decided to stop by I guess?? Last Thursday, I was called to confirm her upcoming appointment, which I did, but received a call YESTERDAY saying they need an updated referral. Anyone having to deal with getting a referral knows the primary doctors ALWAYS ask for at least 24-48 hours notice. That front desk is so unprofessional and inconsiderate it is ridiculous.

I came to the Fox's because I have very fair skin and am worried about a few moles and wanted help with blackheads on my face. Dr. Alisa Fox checked me for about 5 minutes. I had to point out a few places; she looked at them and said I had nothing to worry about and balked at my request for something to help with blackheads, saying "I've seen worse". I don't care if you've seen worse. She prescribed me Epiduo and told me to pick it up at a Walgreens because there was a promotion... not my usual pharmacy but, ok, fine. I got the product and applied as directed for about 1-2 weeks, and it RUINED my skin. Literally, it's been about 3 years since this happened and the skin around my mouth is still having issues with dry patches. Then I saw Dr. Fox, the allergist. He did the prick test on my forearm and said "you're not allergic to anything, your symptoms must be from something else"... doubtful. I get congested and watery eyes like clockwork in the spring and break out in hives pretty frequently. Honestly, I think his test was expired. To top it all off, apparently they didn't check to make sure my insurance would cover the services rendered (yes, this was also my responsibility, but other doctors I have won't do anything until they know it's covered, and I requested the same at this office) and smacked me with a $550 bill that I couldn't pay using a credit card. I just made my last payment today and am glad I have them off my freakin back but JEEZ. I had a flex medical spending card I could have used and didn't have the cash flow to pay them out of my own pocket. So archaic. They've been understanding, letting my pay monthly. But the bill shouldn't have been so high to begin with. I feel ripped off. I would not recommend this office. It's old and smells musty and the Drs are stuck in their ways and not helpful. UPDATE: Learned from Dr. Dray on YouTube that one should apply Vaseline around the eyes, mouth, and nose when using anything containing adapalene (Epiduo is adapalene and benzoyl peroxide). Wish Dr. Alisa Fox had the knowledge base to tell me this. ALSO, I've been seeing a different derm who diagnosed me with Rosacea, which runs in my family, something else Dr. Fox didn't pick up.

Efficient and thorough!

She’s always in a rush...books several patients in each time slot. She told my husband the spot on his neck was just sun damage, even tho it got rougher and crustier each time she looked at it. She finally said she’d do a scraping and send it for biopsy at my husbands request, although she was sure it was was only basal cell carcinoma. Turns out it was actually worse, it was squamous cell carcinoma. We then found a new dermatologist who removed several other spots that Fox wasn’t concerned about, because the new dr. said they could turn cancerous at some point. Avoid Dr Fox.
