I arrived at my appointment to see my APN a few minutes late but within the 15 minute time window. When I arrived, the receptionist (Cheryl/Sheryl) was stranding in front of the door smoking a cigarette. She entered the building (a medical facility) and walked next to me in the narrow hallway without a mask. She put it on a minute after returning to the desk. She asked me if my name was (another persons name.) I said no, and told her my name. After another minute or so, she found my appointment. She also took a phone call during that time. I stood waiting for several more minutes before she said I was too late for my appointment. At that time, it was beyond the 15 minute window.I would have been able to make my appointment if Cheryl hadn’t delayed the sign in process. She acted carelessly, unprofessionally and condescending. This is my third experience with Cheryl and each experience has been similar. She has an antagozing attitude, which is not ideal for a mental health facility (a place that serves a vulnerable public.) The women that worked in the office prior to Cheryl have always been friendly and professional.I was upset about missing my appointment. Another woman, Carmen, came out to speak with me. She was very professional and helpful. I had papers I needed filled out by my APN. Carmen offered to make copies and ask my APN if she could fill them out and email or fax them to me. I could observe that Cheryl had a visible attitude about that as well.At this point, my only option to see my APN is to wait 3 additional months.
