The doctors were nice but before you go in for what you think you're going in for, I suggest you clarify exactly what you're going in for. I went in for an annual exam and because I "spoke with them" about something that may not be included in an annual exam, they took it upon themselves to determine that, then never told me. As a civilian, how am I supposed to know what can and can't be talked about in an annual exam? I have no problem paying balances that are justified, but when I tried to get an answer of what happened, I kept getting the run around. I called multiple times to speak with them, left messages and emails; no one ever called me back. Eventually when I did speak with someone they straight out told me, "we determined that it didn't qualify as an annual because of what you spoke about with the doctor." How am I supposed to know what qualifies and what doesn't? They then said an office manager will be in touch. I waited for weeks for call back, followed up and left messages, no one got back to me. I finally called my insurance company to get the break down of things to see where the miscommunication happened. Again - I have no problem paying my bills, I just wanted to know what happened and the billing department wanted no part in explaining it to me. I truly felt they were just ignoring my calls until the balance fell into collections. For perspective, my appointment was 08/2023 and I have been trying to rectify this situation since. I will never return to this place, and I will also tell people about my experience if they ask for suggestions on a practice. The 2 stars is merely for the staff outside of the billing department. The doctors are nice, the front staff is friendly and welcoming.
I feel better I had my annual physical with family first.
Mom is very happy with Family First! Everyone is nice and attentive.
This doctor took over my old doctor's office, so I thought I'd give them a try since I need a new primary care doctor. I saw the doctor as a new patient on 4/21 and was told by the woman at the front desk that I had to pay the balance of my deductible (when I should have just paid my copay). I questioned her, and she insisted so I paid the balance of the deductible. The next week, I received my explanation of benefits that showed that I only was due to pay my copay. When I initially called the office back when I got my explanation of benefits, the same woman answered the phone and told me that "there was no way" that the insurance processed it that quickly, and that I was supposed to pay the balance of the deductible, not the copay. She then placed me on hold for over 15 minutes when I asked to speak with a manager and never came back to the phone. It is now over a month later, and I still have not received my refund (I was told today when I called that the check will be mailed today - the last time I called two weeks ago, I was told it would be mailed by the end of that week, they "just needed someone to sign the check"). The doctor might be great, but I will never go to this office again - this has been so incredibly aggravating and not once did anyone that I spoke with apologize for the mistake or inconvenience.
I've been a patient of Family First ever since they first opened in Oakhurst...Recently a new office in Brick opened, From the time you walk in the friendly office, you'll feel at ease ..The staff and Drs. are all above average, very cheerful and upbeat. .. They listen to your concerns they truly care about their patients ! I have mentioned them to two of my friends, they now are patients of Family First and they absolutely love them!
The entire staff at Family First is prompt, professional. They take time to listen to you. There is no rushing. A special shout out to Miranda in the Brick office who is very friendly and always upbeat.
Dr. Laith Qumei is my primary care physician; he is kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He takes the time to answer my questions and has excellent follow up with any on-going health concerns. The nurses and desk staff are always friendly and helpful. I am very happy with the care I receive at this practice.
Awesome
This is Celia, not Jim as From heading says. Wasn’t sure how I would like the new doctor after being so fond and happy with Doctor Si. I was beyond pleased. He explains so much and treated me with concern and caring. The rest of the staff are wonderful too.
This place is truly amazing!! From the staff to the doctors, this place is the true definition of exceptional health care. We met with Dr. Dahab, she was wonderful. I love how attentive both the nurses and the doctors are. It truly makes someone feel cared about and at the end of the day that’s what health care is supposed to be. We are supposed to feel cared about when it comes to our health. This place is hands down the best of what I have experienced so far. Thank you guys for being amazing. It is honestly pure bliss.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
