List of Steven K. Mishkin's Reviews
Dr, Mishkin did my cataract surgery (easy right) two times I needed laser repair and my vision was still blurry he said that’s all he could do, I went to another eye doctor and he fixed the problem. I think he should retire. He is dangerous.
I saw Dr. Mishkin since I felt I was having a detached retina. He examined my eyes and said everything was perfect. I wasn't confident so I saw a different Dr. at another practice and within a few minutes he had his office staff make me an immediate appointment with the retina specialist. I do have a detached retina and I'm scheduled for surgery. Seems Dr. Mishkin can't diagnose what's right in front of him.
I saw Dr. Mishkin over 20 years ago when I lived in Jersey and have recently moved back so saw him this past week. I was concerned that I was having a detached retina and called his office and was given an appointment. He did the exam and told me that my eyes were great!!! I wasn't convinced since the issues I was having seem to get worse. I called my pcp and got the name of a different group of doctors. I was given an appointment and low and behold, my retina is detached. I was sent directly to their retina group. How Dr. Mishkin could have missed this is beyond me. Stay clear of him!!!!
Dr. Mishkin dismissed my blurry vision complaint after cataract surgery on each of my 3 follow up visits. On my last visit even with my complaint he said everything looks good... see you in a year! A second opinion by a cataract specialist said vitreous gel leaked to the front of my lens during surgery. Now addl surgery by a retinal specialist is required to correct this issue.
I had cataract surgery 12/1/2020 and today is 2/23/2021 and I still have problems from cataract surgery. After “TWO” laser treatments from botted surgery he still could not get my vision cleared and told me it can’t be fixed. He either needs to stop doing cataract surgery or take a few courses on how to do successful cataract surgery. If your looking for an eye doctor Keep looking for a different doctor. I should have.
I wish I read the reviews before going to his office. Mishkin is RUDE and DEMEANING. Definitely no character or compassion towards his patients.
HORRIBLE DR. Doesn’t listen and disregards you when you tell him your having issues with your vision. Just told me when I get my glasses they will help, well they won’t help because he messed up my cataract surgery . Went for second opinion and was told the lens was not in straight and had to get an IOL exchange because of this i developed scar tissue tnat had to be lasered out 6 weeks after eye surgery still having issues with my vision. He never dialated me to see what the problem was. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this Dr or Millenium eye care! Now they are billing me my out of pocket responsibility and I’m not paying it!!!
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! ALMOST WALKED OUT CRYING! HE WAS SO EXTREMELY RUDE. HE TOLD MY SON WITH DISABLES HE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE DOING HIS SURGERY CAUSE HE WAS GIVING HIM ANXIETY WITH ALL HIS QUESTIONS !!- And he has NO time and OTHER patients that he cant answer any more questions . I actually thought he was joking. i was in shock what was coming out of his mouth- never ever had an experience like this. He has no problem taking your money but you may give him anxiety if you have more than a few questions about a surgery on your EYE.
RUDE RUDE RUDE NO COMPASSION, NO PATIENCE, HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER. ONLY cares about money does not want to answer ANY questions or spend any sort of time caring about patients.
Dr. Mishkin did cosmetic surgery beneath my eyes. The result was immediate and within four days, it was impossible to tell that I ever had a problem. I finally removed my sunglasses and allowed people to see my eyes. I would recommend him to anyone looking for this type of surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
