At least every other month, this practice makes a mistake and then I have to scramble to correct it. Sometimes more frequently than every other month. I understand everyone makes mistakes, but it matters how you handle them when you do. For a place that is supposed to help with mental health, this establishment certainly does a great job with driving people to the brink.
I began my treatment with GenPsych in their outpatient program and once completed, I was placed with an outpatient psychiatrist, Dr. Oyem, to manage my medications moving forward. Since then, my experience has been horrible. I currently have been without my anti-depressant medication for over 1 week because it is absolutely impossible to reach the doctor unless you have an appointment, which is rarely even with himself to begin with. At the end of my appointments, I am told that my medications will be sent to my pharmacy right away. They pick and choose what medications to send to the pharmacy and which ones to give you a hard time about. The doctor changed the dosage of one of my medications and never told me, I found out at the pharmacy. I have been calling their office for 1 week now and every one of them insist that all they can do is email the doctor and hope for a response to approve the medication refill (which should have been sent at my last appointment, but wasn't). Dr. Oyem's "assistant", Saidin Ubpon, is worse. He is not helpful, at all, extremely rude, and he hung up on me during a phone call of me practically begging for them to send my medication to the pharmacy. They will not allow me to speak to a manager, as they insist that this is not something the manager deals with and this can only be handled by the doctor himself. This is the THIRD time that Dr. Oyem and his staff have withheld medication from me. Please save what's left of your mental sanity and health and stay away from this place.
I don't recommend this place to anyone because they only wanna care about themselves. They are just really bad people. They don't care about anyone else. The trauma they put a lot of kids through is so bad and I feel bad for the kids that left with more trauma than they started with. I was treated with negligence. I was there from September 2023 to February 2024. They only want your money and I do not recommend this place for anyone. Please never send your kids here. Please look into it.
Not the best but not the worst. The groups were helpful, but speaking with the dr wasn't, although he was a very intelligent man.
They are amazing people their and the techs are nice they are super helpful and respect and the new director is also amazing and she is always their for the kids and are always on our side
I just started and I really enjoy the group therapy time. I have learned a lot so far and I’m thankful for this place.
I'm a psychiatric provider who recently sent a client to Genpsych Brick. She met with the psychiatrist twice while there for eight weeks despite asking to see her multiple times. She was discharged back to me with zero notice without refills and without any adjustments. Absolutely horrible. I'm embarrassed I sent her to her.
"We encourage clients to contact us at customerfeedback@genpsyc... and we will work to rectify issues brought to our attention. Again, that sounds nice, but when your clinical staff is not upfront with you, people shut you out, and they have their own agenda, where do you start? There is too much that needs to be fixed........never again.
During this Covid-19 pandemic, my mental health took a drastic turn. I had asked a friend for a recommendation and she suggested GenPsych in Brick. From the first phone call I knew I was at the right place. The woman who scheduled my appointment had helped explain how things worked and who my provider was. I scheduled an appointment for two weeks later. I've now been part of GenPsych for 7 months. 4 of those months I had intensive outpatient therapy. Due to the pandemic it was virtual and I actually like it that way. I was still in the comfort of my own home and it helped me be more relaxed for group. The therapists and providers are all extremely nice, understanding, firm and still respectful. I have come a long way since starting at GenPsych. My provider and therapists do an amazing job at reminding me how far Ive come and that it's ok to have weak moments but as long as we keep getting through, day by day or even minute by minute sometimes, life will get better. Thank you GenPsych Brick for helping me manage life!
Not real treatment it's nothing more than a money pit and a shit show. Staff being inappropriate with other staff blatantly calling clients "junkies" even though most techs are in recovery too. Hipaa broken daily, bills aren't paid regularly for things like food and vendors. 5 choices of same old lunch everyday. No snacks or drinks u less you brought a lot of money. Incompetent staff who only care about money not the life of the clients. The owner has his own prior charges for doing this with his own clients u sure how they still even operate. Houses they rent for clients aren't even registered as businesses and most neighbors don't know a recovery house is next door and end up reporting them to the town. Houses open and shut down constantly. The state needs to really look into all of their dealings. Don't expect them to be open long.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
