List of John Depalma's Reviews
Dr. DePalma has been treating both my father and grandmother for the past 10+ years. He goes above and beyond just treating the kidneys; he looks at the whole picture. His office staff is one of the best I have seen in the area. Being a caretaker for two people, I am in constant contact with the office. They are always responsive, courteous, and offer a smiling face when we walk through the doors. It is a pleasant feeling to the see the same employees there for 5+ years. I am in a lot of different doctors offices between myself and my family, the staff turnover rate in these offices are high and often you are made to feel like just a number- not with their office. You are given all of the time you need (I guess that's why he runs late) with both the doctor and the nurses. I would HIGHLY recommend both Dr. DePalma and his office staff.

My visit started out waiting in the office for nearly two hours past my appt time only to find out that the doctor wasn't even in the office yet. The visit was short, he offered no recommendations, and when I called for a follow-up appt the office staff was rude, condescending, and far from helpful. This appointment was a waste of time and the doctor had no regard for his patients who waited well over an hour to see him. No apology or concern was shown to the fact that there were several of his patients in the waiting room before he himself even arrived to the office. I was not notified that he was running incredibly late and once at the office was not updated on the wait time.
great
Dr. Depalma has been great to me, but his office staff is a whole other story. They are often rude, give an attitude, or say the doctor will get back to you only to end up hearing absolutely nothing. If it wasn't for Dr. Depalma, I would find a new nephrologist due to the unpleasant, frustrating, and often rude remarks made in conversation by his staff.
Dr DePalma is incredibly knowledgeable in every aspect of medicine. His specialty is nephrology, but his overall background is very impressive. His bedside manner is very calming and is not an alarmist.
Every time my husband or I are given a specific appointment time, we have not waited no less than 45 minutes to an hour, to get from the waiting room, (or recently, our automobile, due to Covid-19) to the exam room. Then spend anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, by the time you see the doctor. I find this to be a total disregard for the patient. Their time is just as valuable, as the doctor's. It ...
Dr. Depalma treats my mother who has Parkinson disease. Dr. Depalma and his nurses (Becky is the one of them) are very helpful to set my mother up with the right medicine for her and helped me receive grants for it too. Besides answering my mothers questions, they took time to answer mine as well. I appreciate this group more then they know.
Always a pleasant experience coming here. Valerie at the desk is incredibly helpful and nice. Dr. D. kind and caring. No fears here.
We waited over an hour to find out Dr DePalma was not e en in the office & in fact there were 3 patients ahead of us. The nurse said “ you can leave if you want” No compassion, no apology No more going back to Dr DePalma Rude!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
