Genpsych Bridgewater's Online Review Report Card

I would absolutely suggest you look elsewhere if you’re struggling with your mental health.On Wednesday May 11, I finally had my zoom appointment with Dr. Akinyemi after waiting over a month for my appointment. Although she was over fifteen minutes late to the appointment and was a bit short at the start (I have three little kids and they were being uncooperative at the time), she was able to give me a diagnosis, explain it in a way I understood, and outlined what treatment would look like. She was to call in a prescription to my pharmacy.After several hours and me checking in with the pharmacy on the status of the prescription and an email to her, I was finally able to get Catriesha (the doctor’s administrative assistant) on the phone. She informed me that my paperwork was not submitted (it was, I submitted via Kipu Messenger as directed and have triple checked it) and they therefore did not have my pharmacy on file. I gave her the pharmacy information for her to call in the prescription and she told me she would resend the forms through email and just to get them back to her at my convenience. I never received the paperwork, nor was my prescription called in to the pharmacy.I spent Thursday and Friday calling the pharmacy, calling and emailing Catriesha, and when I received absolutely no response to any of my voicemails or emails, sent an email to GenPsych on Saturday. No response.It is now Tuesday morning. Still no calls or emails from Catriesha or any other representative from GenPsych , nor has my prescription been called in.This is an unacceptable standard level of care. I have since made an appointment with another psychiatrist as GenPsych clearly is unreliable and does not care in the slightest about their patients’ wellbeing.

Genpsych thinks its okay to send an account to collections despite having contact and billing info for their clients. I’ve never paid a bill late and have no idea why you would do this. Genpsych approved the sending of a $4k bill from a collections agency for services from 2 years ago that I thought were long settled. They are all approved claims and its a matter for genpsych to sort with the insurance company when/how they get paid. Pretty crummy business practice for a company that’s supposed to care about mental well-being.I didn’t appreciate having to chase Genpsych for answers about this bill, and I really didn’t like having the whole collections thing be dismissed by your billing staff because “only third notices can damage your credit score.”You all should be ashamed of yourselves for being so tone deaf.

Please note that Ms. Ashley Hooks who is a Patient Care Coordinator at the Bridgewater Location is a fine employee. Ms. Hooks has always been professional and willing to help me. Ms. Hooks is a very caring, elegant woman who is always willing to listen to a patient, such as myself, and attempt to communicate with the patient. Ms. Hooks also is a very intelligent young woman who is very skilled and talented. I believe that Ms. Hooks will further her career and will achieve many of her goals. Ms. Hooks is an excellent role model for young women who aspire to be great.

Gen psych is a WONDERFUL mental health service that provides the most amazing support through different mental health tracks. The Bridgewater location was such a great experience and place for me. I believe that if anyone is considering working on them self and having thoughts about therapy, try it out! Just starting is a great start on working on improving your overall being. I’ve learned to keep chasing my life goals while learning and figuring out different tools to manage and regular myself . Some of these tool include working on emotions and interpersonal relations, and mindfulness. These skills have made me a overall happier and healthier person! Thank you Gen psych for your services and providing such an amazing team.

I found several of the staff to be very open and caring, and each of them were open to any feedback given. I personally really got the most out of the group process sessions and looked forward to them every session.

After the passing of my beloved son, from a tragic accident, I needed serious help. Genpsych was the only place I could find that offered me the kind of caring, structured program that I needed to help me deal with my intense grief and depression. The grief will always be there, because you grieve as much as you loved, but they gave me great tools to work with and I have a very different outlook on things now.I highly recommend GenPsych!

They are so EASY to get on the phone. Definitely no leaving voicemail here and, getting them to refill a prescription is the Definition of no hassle. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND.Btw if your trying to fill a prescription It's best to start weeks before your needing it refilled.Have FUN you all. 😘

GenPsych has saved me multiple times. I have severe trauma and a large anger issue and they really cared about helping me sometimes in spite if myself. If I ever need care again, they are my first call.

This place is horrible from the office staffs to the providers and the billing staff. Please do not waste you time looking for help at the facility you will have more Anxiety problems leaving this facility. We need better mental health care than Genphysych. The only thing my son and I was able to achieve from them was an enormously Bill.
