List of David A Salz Md's Reviews
The office staff is extremly rude and arrogant people. Billing department is worst department. Manager Crystal have tremendous attitude and arrogant behavior. Doctor's are really good but front desk staff needs training and good behavior training for sure.
Appointment with Dr. Salz was today 8:45am, got done at 11:10am. Extremely long wait, staff unfriendly, and Dr. was not that stellar. They rush you in because they are behind with appointments. Then you get to see the Dr. for a total of 5 min. Find another Dr. who appreciates their patients. Skip this one.
Overbooks patients, 2 hour wait time or more. Not a thorough examination. I moved on to another doctor.
I had the pleasure of getting my LASIK done by Dr. Alan Salz. He was thorough, professional and transparent. He showed enormous confidence throughout the process, especially during the 30m surgical procedure and that definitely helps when you are going through an elective, high-sensitive, risky surgery. My recovery was as they explained and I had a great 20/20 vision shortly after surgery! Just up to that point alone I would give five stars. BUT as my fate would have it, I had a freak accident about a month after LASIK during a casual Saturday evening tennis game and one of my flabs got dislocated. Under an extraordinary circumstance, Dr. Salz showed up and single handedly without any other help did another surgical procedure to fix my eye, on a Saturday night at 10 PM! I was enormously lucky to have had my vision back that day with my eyeballs hanging literally in Dr. Salz godly hands. I chose to write this review because of what happened on that unlucky yet lucky Saturday night. Yes, their office visit wait times are not ideal but I have come to accept that to see a world-class specialist one has to compromise on certain things like wait times. And of course, wear protective goggles when playing sports after LASIK!
My son had LASIK done here by Dr. Alan Salz and is thrilled with his vision. He was very thorough in his evaluation and went over all options for the procedure in detail. Everything went very smoothly and I knew my son was in excellent hands - would highly recommend.
Excellent doctor, highly recommend.
Been seeing this group of doctors for years. My son had LASIK done here by Dr. Alan Salz and is thrilled with his vision.
Dr Saltz is a great clinical but the office wait times are awful. Wait times are over 2 hours which is ridiculous. Why do they overbook. Patients have lives too!
I have been going to him since he was at his smaller location and was excellent but as his popularity grew so did the wait and appointment times. Unacceptable to wait for so long to be seen. When I see him I feel rushed. The office tried to push his son for appointments but I wanted D. Alan since been with him for over a decade. Sadly I have seen how the quality has gone down over the years. I know many who has had surgery and speak highly of his operations but the daily exams and routine eye care he does not seem interested in as patients. He is definitely qualified, experienced and has the credentials.
Terrific team, though the wait is always 2 hours minimum. There is huge demand for top talent, and very few excellent Ophthalmologists. One concern, on two occassions, an assistant of the doctor got the directions for eye drops incorrect, both in writing and in the computer system. I now know to look her in the eye, repeat in front of the Dr. his instructions and make sure it is correct in both places. She's lovely but, it worries me that she may negatively impact patient recovery, especially as so many of Dr. Salz's patients are older/surgergical patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
