I am a few years from being 60 and am no stranger to allergists, I have had several through the years and have had many shots. I made an appointment with Dr Camacho for food sensitivity testing. When I got there she was more worried about whether I had a colonoscopy at my age and wanted me to go see a gastrointestinal doctor for my nasal drip. Only testing she would give me was for regular allergens which I took shots for for years. After she did the test she found I was only allergic to mold that grows outside in the dirt. Even though I know I have many other allergies, so when I questioned her on it. She said because I've had so many shots I may not be skin reactive anymore. She gave me a prescription for a nasal spray and sent me on my way. Meanwhile I have autoimmune diseases and would like to see what foods I'm sensitive to so I could cut them out of my diet and she wanted no part of that. Total waste of my time and I would never recommend her to anyone.

Dr Camacho failed to properly diagnose my son’s anaphylactic food allergies. She was just quick to prescribe an epinephrine and send us on his way. We took his exact same skin results and blood work to a large childrens hospital in the area and he was completely misdiagnosed, missing his true allergens and having him avoiding food that was not necessary. So grateful we followed our gut for a second opinion and our child is being cared for properly.

Dr. Camacho and her nurses were thorough, open and honest and told me straight out that if I choose to try allergy shots, we'll re-evaluate before a year is up and if they're not effective, we'll stop them. I've known doctors who string along patients for years with shots that don't work.
