Dr. Lifchus had an awful bedside manner and does not know her information as a specialist in the field. I got a second opinion in Hunterdon at another office in the same week and that doctor was great and actually knew what they were talking about. She denied me tests I wanted to get done which I wanted due to having issues for 4 + years. She did not tell me that biotin should not be in your system when getting your TSH checked and my last levels were done with biotin in my system which means an inaccurate reading. The second opinion doctor was the one who made me aware of this and listened to my health concerns instead of brushing me off and telling me to see someone else. I will not be going back nor recommending this office.

I made an appointment after a referral from my OBGYN well over a month ago. My appt is finally approaching this Friday. I received a reminder call today with a TOTALLY different doctor. This is totally unacceptable. It is impossible that I got the name wrong for obvious reasons. I am extremely upset after waiting two months and now have to wait until March to see Dr. Lifchus-Ascher.

Dr Lifschus is a truly caring, compassionate, and skilled doctor. I've seen her for years now for my diabetic care and I wouldn't want to see anybody else. She listens, she is well informed, and I fully trust her advice.

I have to numerous friends and family members and they all agree Dr. Lifchus Ascher is superb. Her staff is also friendly and professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Lifschus-Ascher for 3+ years. She is the best doctor I have ever had! She has helped me with my thyroid as well as other menopause issues. I would highly recommend her!

I was informed several years ago I had Graves disease and needed to be treated with radioactive iodine to cause death to my thyroid and I would then need to take synthroid for life. This sounded shocking and frightening to me. I asked if there were any options for treatment, not wanting to put radioactive iodine in my body. The doctor told me she didn't know why so many people in this area are resistant to treatment. I was placed on a drug to try to control the thyroid hormone out put. After years of being seen, no ultrasound being done and not feeling well everyday I finally wanted a difinitive treatment. I took the radioactive iodine. It didn't work. I didn't have a follow up appointment for three months. Long story short, after changing dotors, I have Hashimoto's with a toxic nodual causing the excessive thyroid hormone out put. I recently had my thyroid removed and feel amazingly normal. I did not follow this doctors recommended course of action and retake the radioacive iodine witch I have been informed is incressingly dangerous with several long term health risks. It is a difficult disease to deal with. Better methods of diagnosis need to be utilized. Not simply a blood test.

My family doctor recommended Dr. Lifchus-Ascher years ago and I have been delighted to be in her care. She listens, she allows me to experiment with different combinations of medicines to see what works well, she uses a laptop during the appointment so she can scan current and past test results. I have the highest level of trust in Dr. Lifchus-Ascher's medical care plus I like her as a person.
