List of Summit Medical Group's Reviews
They over charge, I’m a new patient wanted to try this medical group close to home . I wanted my check up , I had a question about my chest during the visit maybe anxiety or stressed.. I asked is this my check up ? They said this is an introduction to the doctor , then your check up is next visit . They took my blood work the first day. I said do I need to come in for my results . Usually my old doctor or nurse just calls and tells the results . They made 2 visits for a yearly check up. I have insurance and still have to pay $400+ extra.
I had my knee replacement surgery in march 2021. Dr. Abrutyn was so wonderful. I can not be happier with the results. The office visits are quick and efficient and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them to everyone when I hear of anyone with knee pain.
I have had knee problems for years and finally went to see Dr Abrutyn. He was easy to talk to and I finally had a total knee replacement in March, 2021. The whole experience was so much better than I could ask for. From scheduling the surgery, dealing with all the pre-op work and my visits the office staff was so friendly and helpful. The surgery was a complete success and I can not be happier with the results. I highly recommend Dr A. to all my friends for any knee or shoulder issues.
Worst place to go for any medical needs.I went for a simple medical checkup however my appointment was rescheduled multiple times. staff was not accommodating and not much helpful.
went in with two Cancer problem .. came out with one cancer gone ...still have the a cancer because they can't get the drug.. it's been two year waiting... i think they do a so-so job, so you kept coming back so they can more money... and they gave me a new problem now that i will have for life.. thank's Summit Medical Group for making my life worst then before.. NICE JOB... Look... you have Cancer Please go to a true cancer center.. like M.S.K. or MD Anderson... please trust me you will do better and get better but NOT Summit Medical Group is just a hospital with a cancer dept....M.S.K. & Anderson they do research and work to get you in, and work on the cancer... not just going in and cutting out the cancer every 3 months... like a oil change... so they kept saying the drug is coming , but it never comes ..hope with no end at this place . MD Anderson is a hour and a half for me to drive one way and its worth it.. I have two friends that drove down to MD Anderson. because it's a true cancer center .and now they are cancer free... please, please go to a true cancer not a hospital that says it has a cancer center.... you don't see anyone driving an hour and a half to go to summit Medical cancer center. do you?
Never go to this place, they over charge!!! Charged me $491 for Splint Long Arm.
Dr Gora is a fantastic Doctor. She listens and asks pertinent questions to provide the best medical care. My health is in the best possible hands as her patient.
My issue is not with the quality expertise of the Doctors/surgeons. They deserve 8 stars. The issue is getting help with paperwork. Horrible this one doesn't know what that one tells you. Can't get a straight answer. If the Dr does it as an emergency surgery the officials is not very good at explanations and being the surgeon did the procedure they need to have info from the hospital to. Help. It's hell trying to heal and you have to call them daily and get different answers constantly.
Everyone was very nice. However, I went in for my free yearly physical the Dr. was too busy to finish it asked me to come back to finish my physical, confused I said ok. I was then charged for an office visit on top of my free physical. Over $300! after countless phone calls and a nice patient relationship rep. they lowered it to $150, Still more then my free physical and a complete and total rip off as nothing extra was done. I feel very violated and cheated. none the less a few months later now I called them to see how much a tb test would cost for work, was first told it was $28 I said that is it? that includes them reading the test? they said oh no for that it would be an office visit also prices start at $146 plus the test. however to get this answer took mulitple phone calls between the office and billing and I am not sure how much it will be as the office said I would be billed for a nurses visit and not a dr visit however billing doesn't have that option and kept trying to call it a dr visit. Like I said everyone was nice however, I still feel so stressed and used from this place that I don't ever want to go back and I want everyone to know that you can't ask any questions in the physical or answer any questions in a physical because then they said they have the right to change it to an office visit and the dr doesn't have to tell you they are changing it That is also why they charged me for an office visit. They will trick you. They will ask you how are you feeling today any complaints? do NOT answer! it is a trick to charge you more money! which is just insane that you can't go to a dr and be honest with them and tell them how you feel. but regardless even if they do nothing extra for you, they can change the billing code.
Seen Dr Thomas twice now for some on going situations I've been having and can say that she is a fantastic practioner. She is very thorough, actually listens to you and has the one thing that so many MD's lack and that is imagination. I say this because my issues are not that easily identified but she is covering all bases and is considering all angles. What a refreshing change for me....... And the office location is sooooo choice for me and her staff (MA's, RN's and front desk) are just as great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
