List of Deborah Specialty Physicians - Browns Mills's Reviews
Best Orthodontist ever! I’ve known Dr Shpuntoff for over 25 years and I highly recommend him for his patience, knowledge and ethics in his work. My children loved him.
When I came to Dr Shpuntoff for treatment I was really desperate for help as my TMJ disorder had become severe. The pain was unbearable, making it hard to eat most foods and also making it hard to even talk without pain. You don’t realize how much you need your jaw for so many things until you can’t use it without horrible pain. I was also having terrible migraine headaches almost every day, and even earaches. When I lived in Florida, my dentist had told me they could not fix my jaw problems and “it’ll only get worse as you get older.” (If this review is too long to read, I included my before and after photos at the bottom!) My next dentist in NYC told me “I can fix it but you will need metal braces with hooks and wires.” I googled the hooks and wires and was horrified. Also, at age 25 and working in finance, I did not want to have such obvious-looking metal braces. Dr Shpuntoff felt that Invisalign would work for me even though I had an open bite combined with a cross bite. He pointed out that it would stop my tongue from thrusting forward too much which had likely created the open bite (I blame the stress of my job at the time, whenever I was stressed I would clench my jaw and that made things worse!) It took longer than I would have liked to finish the Invisalign but I do feel so much better. I got my life back. I also think my teeth looked great for my wedding! I personally really appreciate that he has taken so many Covid precautions. Despite being as careful as possible. I tested positive for Covid on September 1, 2022. I was 29 years old and perfectly healthy. Prior to getting COVID, I worked out 6 days a week, intense workouts with burpees and commandos, etc. I could hold a plank for five minutes! My COVID symptoms started out mild but gradually got worse. I developed a shortness of breath cough. By day 5, that night I had the worst cough of my entire life. I woke up out of a dead sleep coughing very painfully and afterward I had a terrible burning feeling in my lungs. I tried again to fall asleep a bit later and again woke up horribly coughing and with the burning feeling after. I thought I was going to die to be honest, and spent all night on the phone with my mom trying to decide what to do. The next day I called my doctor and got prescription cough medicine plus Paxlovid and I started to feel a bit better. A few days later I went for a short walk, my doctor said I could. When I got home I went up the few steps to get the mail, and I felt that same horrible burning sensation in my lungs, although without the cough this time. It really hurt and it also scared me! It turns out I had lung inflammation (as per my chest X-ray) and COVID left me with asthma, which I did not have before. A chest CT showed scarring on my lungs caused by COVID. With the help of my new doctor who is great, I now have my asthma finally under control but I spent the last several months having horrible coughing attacks and feeling like I could not breathe. I had to miss out on seeing family and friends and enjoying life for 3 months! I had to quit my job and take a few weeks off of work altogether because I was so sick. I would not wish Covid on anyone and I feel any safety measures to prevent it are entirely appropriate.
Rude receptionist! Kicked us out and told us to call first although we had an appointment and arrived on time! Additionally she decided to insult us in Spanish not realizing I understood what she was saying. When I brought it to her attention, she stated she wasn’t talking to me but to her peer. I don’t think it was professional at all.
Very good managment. I don't need to wait for so long compare to other ortho clinic. Dr Robert is really kid friendly, efficient and detail oriented that patiently explained to me what the suituation is. I am really impressed as it is only the first visit. I didn't expect my daughter can able to do the model right away. He already knows what to do and shows me the picture and explained to me in my understanding knowledge. And Dr Robert is a funny man that made my daughter not scare it at all. Super recommended!!!
Very bad experience my brother took my little sister there upon arriving the receptionist asked him to wear a mask he didn’t have one he was then told he had to pay a $1.00 for a mask there was a lot of back and forth later in that evening i got a phone call from DR: Shpuntoff demanding me to have my brother remove his review in order for him to continue seeing my sister as a patient not once but demanded three times that we remove the review as i stood my grounds and said “NO” we will not remove the review he rudely told me he will not continue to have my sister as a patient in his office and hung up.
Brought my little sister in for an appointment. Upon entering I apologized for not having a mask at that point I was told that the mask are available for purchase for a dollar. Seeing that I had no cash on me I let them know that I’d be willing to pay via Apple Pay once I said that a older Hispanic woman working from behind the desk snapped on me “our system isn’t updated like that! Leave!” I refused to leave and after going back and forth with her the nice girl sitting at the front desk handed me a mask. At this point the woman is still heckling and throwing a barrage of questions most important ones being “how old are you? Are you old enough to take responsibility for payement? I need someone here responsible for payment.” I assured her that I’ll be taking that responsibility. My kid sisters last time here was nearly 3 years ago so there was some updates needed for her file I informed her that I’d like to call my mom to confirm somethings and she completely disregards me and starts bombarding my sister with questions, her tone was aggressive and she frightened my sister. She made it seem like this is not a place that children come to for care but rather a business that needs to make sure they can reach all their customers or those who owe a debt. However beyond this unbelievable woman the dentist & the rest of the staff was friendly and efficient. If you don’t have a passion for caring for people you should not be working in a youth orthodontist center or any medical facility. I’ve visited many medical facilities in New York City and I’ve never been offended like this. I guess my rough appearance led her to believe that we would not pay a medical bill? Unbelievable
Doctor Shpuntoff is the best orthodontist. My brother and I have been going to him for a few years now and we are very impressed. Highly recommend him!
Very good doctor. He is patient and will get you amazing results. Highly recommend you will not find any better!
Promise Joy 3 months ago My daughter Jillian C. had her braces done here and the whole experience was wonderful from the start to finally getting them all off. The staffs are great and what a beautiful clinic!
Excellent service! About two years ago I transferred orthodontists, since my old one told me I was done, even though I had gaps everywhere in my mouth. Upon my consultation, Dr.Shpuntoff made models of my teeth and explained all the issues that I had. During my treatment, he took the time to fix all the spaces and other issues, meanwhile my previous orthodontist told me it was not possible to fix it. The end result along with the steps and time that he took to correct everything was worth the wait and is why I would highly recommend Dr.Shpuntoff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
