I have been a patient of Dr. Guarino since long before he became part of Deborah Specialty Physicians, and if he were to leave, I would follow him. My experience with him has been uniformly excellent. His medical assistants are also excellent but the front desk people come across as cold and terribly bored.

Dr. Guarino is so kind, thorough and honest. He always puts me at easy and is easy to talk to. He has a wonderful way about him.

He has no respect for his patients time. I had a 10am Monday appointment. While sitting in the waiting room, he calls his nurse reporting car trouble and asked to reschedule my appointment. No problem. Things happen. I was rescheduled for Wednesday at 11am. Showed up at 10:45 as asked. Taken back to the exam room at 11am. Waited there until 11:45. Nurse comes in and says won't be long, he should be here soon. He wasn't even in the office. I had to go back to work so I left. I don't like writing negative reviews because I don't want to effect someone's livelihood but then I was reported to my insurance as a no-show to that appointment. I guess he must be covering up for habitual lateness. Seems like arrogant and deceitful behavior.

There is nothing nicer than a doctor who has his own practice and really knows his patients. His staff know me by name and always do their best to help me. You get lost in larger practices. You are just a number. Nothing personal. I want a doctor who remembers me and truly cares. You can also get an appointment very easily. My previous doctor scheduled 3 months out for a physical. 3 MONTHS! Dr. Guarino saw me the next week! I have also seen his nurse practitioner, Heather. She is so professional and knowledgeable. She is there in the mornings, so that works better for me sometimes. Thank you to Dr. Guarino and his staff for caring about my health and doing everything you can to help me.
